About

JAMIE FOXX IN CONCERT:

No doubt about it: Jamie Foxx is a man of many talents. As his fans know, a Jamie Foxx show is part concert, part comedy act, part character sketch. All-in-all, Foxx delivers a fabulous live event that showcases the actor-singer-comedian’s gifts and never fails to leave audiences amazed. Following the huge success of his previous outings, including 2009s The Blame It Tour and 2006's The Unpredictable Tour, Fox thrilled fans with the announcement of a brand new 2014 tour.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

“Jamie really brought his singing A-game! He was very funny and entertaining and super interactive with the audience.”

“There was no need for other entertainers to boost his show, as he stole the show all on his own. It was the perfect combination of comedy and musical entertainment. Five stars!”

“Mr. Foxx is a true showman. He put on a great show, made everyone laugh and he sang.”

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Jamie Foxx has achieved what few entertainers have done before: win an Oscar and release a number one album in the US. However, these are only two out of a long list of Foxx’s accomplishments. He starred in his own comedy TV show, The Jamie Foxx Show, from 1996-2001; won two Grammy Awards, one BET Award and one American Music Award (among many others); and released the hit songs “Unpredictable,” “Blame It," and “Winner.”

    Great Evening

by Winky on 10/20/21Apollo Theater - New York

This was fabulous! DJ Boof had everyone jamming out to oldies but goodies until the show started. The opening comedians were very funny. Jamie and Nick had a great dynamic together like old friends.

    Entertaining

by Ali on 10/19/21Apollo Theater - New York

The ticket was slightly over priced but was willing to pay to learn more about his life. I didn't feel like he was vulnerable at all about his journey to Hollywood and wanted more on how he self improved after therapy with daughter. The discussion was definitely on the surface and needed to be a little bit more deep to motivate me to read the book. Also strange how he commented on "being done with dating white women" in his early 50s as if we in the audience were supposed to celebrate this or even care? The answers to Nick Cannons questions seemed like an act and I wasn't convinced, connected, or moved by the discussion. Appreciate the talent and the come up

The Most Fun I’ve Had in a LONG Time!

by Isabel D. on 10/19/21Apollo Theater - New York

This was no run of the mill book tour. First, it was my first time at THE LEGENDARY Apollo Theatre in Harlem. Easy to get a drink at the bar. The DJ was fabulous and kept us dancing in and out of our seats for close to an hour. And he was FUNNY! This was followed up by two really funny stand-ups for another half hour. The best warm-up line up I’ve ever seen. No words to describe how entertaining Jamie Foxx was. Of course he’s funny, but he was also a great story-teller. And his singing and playing the piano…incredible. It was like an old school variety hour show. WOW superbly WELL DONE!

    Date night

by Ed on 10/19/21Apollo Theater - New York

After being in the house for several months due to the Covid-19 restrictions I took a chance and took my wife out on a date. We enjoyed the entire night including listening to DJ booth before Jamie took the stage. Nick Cannon was funny and you could tell he has love for Jamie Foxx. Jamie is a great story teller and all out entertainer. We enjoyed our date night. ❤

    Misleading

by MacDaddy on 10/19/21Apollo Theater - New York

Who would have spent hundreds of dollars to see a book review interview by my boy ! One looked at the title and presumed it was slapstick title . To add insult a young cameraman in green sweat suit on stage blocked us , the handicapped group and others . After asking to move he just ignored us all , especially when Fox was on the piano. Totally Totally terrible experience, shame on the Apollo.

Jamie Foxx is LOL Funny! He is very talented...and was a great performer. He sang and told jokes and did music as well. He talked about his book, family, how he was raised and where he grew up. Like the title he was "real" and mixed heart felt with comedy. A great experience and good time. We got autographed books too.

Thought this was a concert, yet turned out to be book signing. Drove 2 hours to see him, was highly disappointed. I purchased second row seats. Most of the people attending thought the same.

    Fantastic

by AliM on 10/18/21The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

It was my first time at the MET however it will not be my last. I prepaid for parking and it was very accessible and easy to park. I loved how they were checking for fully vaccinated Covid -19 Cards or making people take a rapid test right on site. As soon as my friend and I walked in, we were greeted by friendly smiles and even got a seat upgrade. Jamie Foxx himself was very entertaining and I loved how intimate it felt with the Q & A.

    Awful Awful Show

by Anonymous on 3/23/14Revel Ovation Hall - Atlantic City

This was by far the worst show I have ever seen. What a disappointment. It looked unorganized and unplanned. In additional the volume of the music, though expected to be loud, was ridiculous. The format of the show, given that it was Jamie Foxx, was also expected to be somewhat on the vulgar side, but all of the gyrations on the stage and the insults he made of the women on the stage was disgusting. A refund would be appreciated. We walked out 30 minute after the show started as did others.
