The Majors is an embarrassment to competitive chee

by Utfootballgirl7 on 1/29/18Indiana Convention Center - Indianapolis

You should never back this event again. The Majors is supposed to be a competition of the best cheer squads in the nation. Instead it is a sham. They chose who they wanted to win and changed the rules and scores to make that happen. All to be able to use as advertising to keep their Comp going. It is a spit in the face to the competitors who worked their butts off to be the best and the parents who sacrifice to support their children. So glad that this is my sons last year. Politics should never decide who wins. What happens on the mat should.

High talent showcase comes to Midwest

by ISupportCheer on 1/29/18Indiana Convention Center - Indianapolis

The Majors was a great time! Very organized, choosing seat in advance made for a smooth transition. It was great to be able to attend such a High talented event in this part of the country, not having to travel to Florida! I liked that the merchandise was only available in the venue, making it more exclusive, however, super long lines didn’t allow for everyone to purchase before the start. The line went quick as the staff was very efficient, just the volume was too much. Maybe open 30 minutes earlier? It would have been nice to have a couple of athletes from each team to do photo ops with, maybe the more popular ones who have a big following on social media? One thing that really bugs me at cheer events is people finding their seats during performances! Where is the etiquette? There was enough staff on hand to have held people back until performance was over. Seat in between. I went with my 16 year old daughter who loved this event, best Christmas present ever! Thank you Jamfest for another GREAT time! Your events are always a positive experience!

Paid Extra for a bad view

by Bob82 on 1/29/18Indiana Convention Center - Indianapolis

The view from the floor seats was terrible, paid extra to sit on the floor back 16 rows but the view to the stage was blocked by the people in front, the equipment, and the judge table. I would have been better off to sit in the stands further back for less money.

    The Majors was well done.

by MichelleADenham on 1/25/17Indiana Convention Center - Indianapolis

My daughter is a competitive cheerleader. This event surpassed her expectations. The high level of skill was amazing to watch. However, my husband and I were even more impressed with the production. They put on a major show to emphasise the performances.

    Don't buy in advance

by TB16 on 1/24/17Indiana Convention Center - Indianapolis

We bought tickets in advance bc a team from our cheer gym was performing. Well our filghts were late so we were late getting into Indy and then just made it to the performance. Not all the seating is great and the higher priced tickets just get you in earlier, long lines. If we go next year we will buy the cheap tickets at the event. Also the sound system was so overwhelming we had to leave before the end. Not worth $50.

The Majors was a first for us

by Gardenmom50 on 1/24/17Indiana Convention Center - Indianapolis

My daughter enjoyed the show, although we had Platinum tickets we did not get to experience everything they had to offer on Thursday, do to not knowing in advance. Best bet to buy the 25.00 tickets and the shirt for $25. Big savings.

    Start earlier

by cheermom6 on 1/23/17Indiana Convention Center - Indianapolis

The event should start earlier, since many younger athletes come to watch. Finishing after 10pm, was a huge problem for athletes competing first thing in the morning at Jamfest.....especially Senior 3.

    Jamfest was impressive

by cheermom52 on 1/23/17Indiana Convention Center - Indianapolis

We enjoyed watching these elite cheer teams compete. Our teams were at Indianapolis for the Jamfest cheer competition so they loved seeing these young adults and teenagers perform at such a high level. Every team was good and there were very few mistakes. The only thing I would say we really disliked as the recommended "waiting in line" part. We were told that we needed to be in line between 5-6 and the event didn't start until 7. It was exhausting after a six hour drive from our home. Then, when we got into the event, there were equally long lines to purchase gear. We could have done without all of that hassle. There were plenty of seats and there was no reason for all of the hype about waiting in line to get a good seat.

    Amazing experience

by Brokecheermom on 1/23/17Indiana Convention Center - Indianapolis

The event was full of energy and hype and was fabulous. My only complaints were that rules were not adhered too such as no seat saving etc. Whats the point of having certain groips in before others if they are just going to save seats for people. Also the merchandise booths were insane. There was no organization and rude people were pushing themselves to the front and budging.....all for a tshirt. My daughter was patiently waiting and wpuld move only when the next pwrson was done, only for someone to push her out of the way and get in front of her. Made it really stressful when u drive 3+ hrs to be there.

    THE MAJORS

by BigDebbie on 1/23/17Indiana Convention Center - Indianapolis

Once the show started it was great! Sitting on the cool hard floor for two hours prior sucked. Not being able to buy a t-shirt because the lines where to long. You had to miss several teams if you want to buy a shirt or food. If I were running the show, I would let pp in every 30 minutes prior to the show to maximize sales. eg. Platinum ticket holder in at 4:00, Gold in at 4:30, Silver in at 5:00, Bronze in at 5:30 and general ticket in at 6:00. This way all can shop prior to the show. Just saying!

    Tiered seating/entrance timing disappointing

by Pfrypmp on 1/18/16Indiana Convention Center - Indianapolis

We attended this event the last two years. We upgraded from silver last year to gold this year and found that this really didn't improve our level of seating it only elongated our times in line waiting. The number of folks skipping line without any security direction was frustrating and the cattle call to line up and run to seats reminded me of horror stories you used to hear before assigned seating became the norm. I would recommend a better assigned seating plan in the future. Would also recommend age limits for those who are attending alone without adult supervision.

    The steps to get there....

by AthleteParent2016 on 1/18/16Indiana Convention Center - Indianapolis

The Majors event was very exciting. The steps it takes to get there are awful. You have to line up to get in 2 hours before the competition starts. They have you wait in one place to wait to get in line where you enter. Then....when you get in, it really dosent matter where you were in line, because the person in front of you is saving rows of seats for the people that were in line behind you, or not in line at all. There needs to be reserved seats, or team sections for families of the athletes. Do it by a lottery, or give each athlete two (2) seats in the front rows or middle sections, then have everyone else go for themselves, seating first come, first serve. The parents that incur the largest expenses, could possibly not have a viewable seat for their athlete, it's not fair, and a shame. FYI, it didn't matter what seats your tickets said, as seats were not labeled . It was open seating. I saw a woman line up at 2PM, for a 6:10 entrance. Disgraceful...
