Soulful pop/rock artist James Morrison's 2011 album The Awakening showcased the singer's maturity following such life changes as becoming a father and losing father to alcohol abuse and depression, becoming his second No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart. Since being introduced to music fans in 2006, he has captivated listeners in his native England and beyond by releasing three studio albums, touring in support of them and even launching a contest that gave winners the chance to enjoy no-ticket-needed concerts in their homes. Regardless of whether he's performing for a huge festival crowd or crooning tunes in an intimate venue, each concert is memorable and driven by Morrison's powerful and evocative stage presence.
Morrison was also able to highlight his talent and prove worthiness early on, attracting admiration from both music enthusiasts and critics. His debut album, "Undiscovered," sold more than 1 million copies around the world by the end of 2006, a feat that made Morrison the best-selling male artist in the United Kingdom that year. "Wonderful World," the second single from his debut, quickly ranked in the top ten on several international charts. In addition to playing tour dates in countries ranging from Ireland to Malaysia, Morrison recorded a live session at the famous Abbey Road Studios in 2007. That same year, he was nominated for three BRIT Awards, and won the title of Best British Male Solo Performer. Besides recording his own albums, Morrison has collaborated with artists such as Demi Lovato, Jason Mraz and Nelly Furtado. Through his relatively short career, he's showing an impressive ability to dominate charts while also enthralling concert attendees around the globe.

Great concert, he had cool openers, "Honey" and put on a fun concert :)
My husband and I saw them play three times in a week and the show at humphreys had the best sound of the three. The only disappointment was that people sat. How can you sit at a rock concert? Get up and dance people!
I attend a lot of concerts and must say that James Morrison was outstanding.
James is unbelievable live! Absolutely loved the concert...just wish it was longer!
James was amazing, as expected. However, the audience were unpleasant and rude. Regardless, the crowd should not reflect your decision to see the show. Still very highly recommended!!
James Morrison and his opening act were the best I have seen! It was totally AWESOME! Whoever did the sound that night did a great job also! The Fitzgerald Theater was very nice although the staff seemed a little unorganized in some ways, but it didn't cause a problem.
The opening band was Honey Honey, a country band that wasn't too country. They were really good. The lead singer had a great voice and played a lot of different instruments. James Morrison is great live. His voice was strong and easily filled the venue. It was like syrup, smooth and thick. I didn't know a lot of the songs from the new album but they were really good. He has a great band behind him and great back up singers. There wasn't too much in between banter but there didn't need to be. He was really great. I'd see him again for sure! Especially at such a small venue.
Brilliant! Simply brilliant! All British and proud of it.
My daughter has been a James Morrison fan for years. When I saw he was playing at Humphrey's, it was a no brainer to purchase tickets. I was so happy I did. We had a great time. He entertained, he engaged the audience and, he did not disappoint. I will make it a point to see him the next time he is in town. Five stars for sure!!!
James Morrison is one of the best singers I have ever had the opportunity to experience live!! The setting was beautiful and it made for a wonderful evening.
His voice was great and he got the crowd on their feet.
I had an amazing time seeing James for the first time in concert. It was unlike anything I've ever seen before and he's beyond great in person. Definitely an unforgettable concert.
James Morrison was so in touch with his audience - it felt like he was singing to each of us. His voice was great - music was exciting.
Not only was the opening band, honey honey, amazing , But James morrison was off the charts. It was the best concert I have ever been to. He kept the audience entertained with his anecdotes and he was even better in concert than on his cd(which is hard to find now). Would definitely see him again!! And his voice is so soulful and just plain amazing.
The venue was great! James was WAAAYY better live than I could have ever imagined. The opening band, Honey, Honey, was absolutely fabulous. I became a fan of theirs because of the show! Would definitely go to the show all over again!!
The opening act, honey honey, was amazing, beautiful power voice from the lead female singer with a rock/ twang guitarist. Loved them. Then it took half an hour for James Morrison to come out (which I dont know if thats common) but it was hard for my feet since the venue was standing room only. Thats my only complaint. James Morrison was beautiful, energetic, and sounded like heaven with his smooth bluesy vocals. I had the best time!
It was Amazing concert, great show. I loved the band, the place, the concert. His is awesome, i's a beautiful show.
Great evening! Sounds ever better in person. Amazing voice!
