Influenced by the likes of D’Angelo and Stevie Wonder along with Burial and Mount Kimbie, James Blake is known for injecting some soul into the genre of dubstep. The London-based producer first gave the world a taste of his quirky, R&B-sampling strain of dubstep in 2009 when his Air & Lack Thereof 12” appeared on the Hemlock label. Blake received quite the endorsement when the heralded Soul Jazz label picked the track up for their Steppas' Delight 2 compilation that same year. James Blake put on a great performance. At the Tabernacle. His voice, and the sound at the theater, were amazingly clear. JOD and SwaVay permforming “Frozen” with Blake, was the highlight of the night.
The best concert to go to for being my first. I absolutely love this artist and his music. The venue was beautiful and the right size. It wasn’t overwhelming. I had an amazing time. Will be going to another James Blake concert in the future ❤️
I love everything about James Blake and his concerts. He is truly my favorite artist and I can’t wait to see him live again. He is definitely a must see!
The was the best concert I have been to in awhile. The music did not disappoint and the venue was perfect. I can't wait until James Blake is back in the area and I hope he's at the Anthem. The venue was perfect for giving the intimate feel with out feeling like you were on top of other attendees. I couldn't get enough of James' voice...he is everything!
I had a perfect view from the balcony of The Anthem and I felt like James Blake’s voice and the sound of his band just carried perfectly through the venue. I had so much fun, it was an amazing experience overall!
James Blake’s performance was such an amazing experience. The combination of his beautiful voice, the electronic music, and the lighting design really puts you into a trance like state. He’s also great at interacting with the audience. So happy I went to this show!

James Blake is the most unassuming orchestrator of painful and sometimes buoyant technical R&B. His focus on sound and vibration mixed with the most heart breaking lyrics you’ve ever heard sets him apart. Master collaborations and opening acts along with a Berlin techno light show make this concert a can’t miss experience.

James Blake is an absolute genius. Such a talented singer and producer. The show was absolutely fantastic, but I was quite far away so it did feel a little removed from him and the band. Still very enjoyable.

First time seeing James Blake perform. He’s so talented! Amazing vocals - mesmerizing synthesized jam sessions on stage of pure dance energy - new music and old favorites. Something for everyone!!!
I saw James Blake play live in 2016 and just now in 2021. He’s grown tremendously as a live performer all the way from confidence to keeping the crowd energized. His current show is more electronic than I anticipated which was a delight for me. He had a few solo songs where you can really appreciate his craft and talent, but most of the show the stage was shared between James and two of his band mates with high-energy tracks. Overall, I’d highly recommend if you enjoy electronic stylings of his work.
In a field where almost anyone can be a producer, it was a real delight to see a professional, possibly at the top of their game. James and fellow musicians have honed their craft by many many years of study in the field of music (classically trained, music composition, actual playing of instruments, etc.). The level of quality of the compositions and sound was superb. Love loved the show...as did my son (yes I am old).
I was so incredibly excited to finally get to see James live and I can safely say that finally getting the chance to was everything and more than what I expected. His voice is absolutely perfect and angelic and it sounds exactly the same live. I honestly can't wait for the chance to get to see him live once again.
Great setlist, great venue, great performances. Travelled 150 miles to see you and would do again but would love to see you in Cleveland!!

As a former professional musician, I have both performed at and attended a LOT of concerts, ranging from classical to pop to singer-songwriter and beyond. I absolutely LOVE seeing James Blake because he is a consummate performer: real, present, raw and incredibly expressive. His most recent show at the Fillmore in Denver CO was in my top 3 live performance experiences EVER - I can't even adequately put into words how much I enjoyed it. I highly recommend James' music and COMPLETELY recommend seeing him live!!!
