The venue was beautiful and the concert felt very cozy.
My disappointing experience had less to do with Jake Scott as a performer and more to do with the quality of sound at this show. Whoever was mixing the sound for this date must have been asleep. There were several moments of several songs where you couldn't even hear Jake singing. All you got was blown out drums and guitar. This venue was small, alot smaller than some of the other venues on his tour & I don't think anyone on Jake's team took that into consideration. My partner and I's ears paid the price. Ear drum bursts aren't fun. Hearing isn't something you can really play with too much and not have lasting damage. My partner has constant ringing in his ears for 2 hours after the show. It was an extremely strong start with his openers and it's just really sad it ended so horribly because of someone's negligence.
The whole experience was a definite 9.5/10. The staff was excellent. Jake Scott was amazing! My only complaint was the security team. A couple yelled across the room at guests and during the concert their walkie talkies were so loud we could hear them over the music!!
best night of my entire existence!! the energy was unmatched!! definitely will be seeing him again!!!!
Great show and great venue! Jake is full of energy and very interactive with the crowd! A great artist!
Jake Scott can really perform - his live songs just as phenomenal as they are on the radio. The energy from the crowd was also incredible.
I've seen JS live twice now and this definitely won't be my last! He always gives "everything he's got" when he comes to CLT and it makes the audience want to do the same. He is extremely talented and just is constantly talking about how much he loves his wife Rachel, it's so sweet!
Jake Scott was phenomenal! Even his opening artists Sam McPherson & Brynn Cartelli crushed it!! What an amazing experience! Hope to see them in the Carolina’s again.
Loved Jake Scott! He is very genuine and warm. Hyped us up and touched our hearts. Great energy and humble spirit. Amazing musicians and great singer song writer!!
It was my first concert experience and it was amazing! I loved it!
Jake Scott was wonderful with the crowd, every interaction felt natural and close to his roots. He was visible and clear the whole time, and the sound reached every corner of the room. Venue was a less pleasant experience, with drinks that cost more than the ticket and the only way to wait in line a zigzag turning down the sidewalk. Parking is also incredibly difficult to navigate without paying a ticket, I have to recommend getting there early in order to park on the side of the road directly across from the entrance to Charlotte Metro. Staff was wonderful and I enjoyed the experience greatly, but some of these things are just greed.
Such a fun environment!!! Jake Scott was amazing and the crowd was so much fun
He’s exactly the same if not better than the recordings. He’s a phenomenal performer and very down to earth. Considering following him on tour if I had the money.
Jake Scott’s concert was by far the best concert I have attended. He has such a great stage presence. I went to the VIP event, and he is so kind and personable.
1) My sister and I brought the smallest purses we had to the concert to abide by the new policy of having a purse that fit the dimensions set by the House of Blues. Unfortunately, our purses went over the dimensions by about a centimeter or two. There was no leeway given, so we spent $20 for our tiny purses to be housed in a container on the floor outside the venue. It's aggravating for people, specifically women, who could be on their periods and need to carry a small purse to hold their feminine items. I'm not going to lie, we were pretty frustrated. 2) The restroom wasn't very clean... there was water on the floor of a stall that looked muddy. Then when I went to the next stall that was open there was no toilet paper left. I figured that since the venue is making extra money off ridiculous standards for purse sizes ($10 a purse) that they could afford to clean and have toilet paper in their restrooms. Also, maybe they could offer free feminine products since they insist on forcing women to bring the smallest purse in the world.
I’m use to metal and hard rock bands so this was a different experience for me. I really enjoyed the experience, it felt very personal from Josie’s first song to Jake’s closing song! Really great venue! Sound was fantastic. Josie and Jake sounded great! Rachael and I had a wonderful time! We have been waiting months to see Jake preform our song and it was totally worth the wait! We can’t wait to see Jake the next time he comes to the Dallas area!
First live performance we saw of Jake Scott and it was phenomenal. Sound was spot on, he was interactive with the crowd, and every one was enjoying it. Event itself was not very crowded. Only really negative thing was the timing, arrived at 7 for open doors. Opener did not arrive on stage till 8:15 just seemed like a long delay, but not really that big of a deal.
I got to see Jake Scott in a smaller setting of around 200 people. Absolutely phenomenal talent with beautiful music. Extremely friendly to talk to and an incredible song writer and singer
