Before becoming a country music sensation, Florida-born Joshua “Jake” Owen dreamed of becoming a professional golfer until a wakeboarding incident led to reconstructive surgery and left Owen unable to keep playing. He borrowed a neighbor’s guitar and began teaching himself to play, eventually playing country covers in bars before writing his own material and moving to Nashville. There he met producer Jimmy Ritchey and eventually executives at Sony BMG, who signed him to RCA Records and put out his debut album Startin’ with Me in 2006, producing the single “Yee Haw.” Owen toured in support of Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, and excited ticket holders with his baritone voice and lively tunes. He also opened for Kenny Chesney, Sugarland and Keith Urban. His second album Easy Does It in 2009 and spawned three more singles, “Don't Think I Can't Love You,” “Eight Second Ride,” and “Tell Me.” In 2011, Owen’s third album Barefoot Blue Jean Night was released, and both the title track and single “Alone with You” hit No. 1 on the country charts. 2013 saw a US concert stretch with Jason Aldean and his newest single “Days of Gold,” which precedes his fourth studio album of the same name due out in December.

I wasn't too impressed with his show... He is a fabulous singer and I love his music I know from the radio, but I guess you would have to be a TRUE Jake Owen, die hard, fan to really enjoy it. Every song he sang, if it had something to do with a name of another state, he would change it to Georgia. If any song had anything to do with a woman or have the word "girl" in it, he would change it to Georgia Peach, etc... it just got old after the second or third song. Then of course the radio station and he both kept annoucing for the women to throw their bra's on stage and to beat the record from that last show. It was just tasteless and trashy... Not a country show I have EVER been too and I have been to TONS of country shows/concerts. I beleive the best part of the show was when he did 2 covers songs of Conway Twitty and of course the last song he sang was, Don't think I can't love you. Those were the highlights of the night. Overall, I would never pay for tickets to see Jake Owen. Just not the type of country show/concert I would want to go see.... I like going to concerts, not trashy strip shows.
Jake was awesome at Wild Bill's and I can't wait to see him again. My friend and I got a Meet and Greet after the show and he was super nice!!! Loved, loved the show.
He was great as always! Wish he would play more venues around Atlanta that aren't bars/clubs but he was great!
Jack Owen put on a great show! Stage presence was great! Seemed to enjoy concert as much as we did! He really rocked the house! I was disappointed in Wild Bill's accoustics. I had attended cocnerts before and it didn't seem that bad, but it may have had to do with our seat location.
I was so impressed! Lots of energy. Played his songs plus some old school faves to keep the party going. Most concerts I go to tap out at 1.5 hours for the main attraction (including any additional encore they may do.) Jake played for two straight hours!!! Fantastic. I actually had meet and greet passes for after the show and he is sooo nice. I will definitely be going back.
Amazing show. He sounded great and his energy and showmanship made it one of the best concerts I have experienced to date! Hope he comes again soon!
Jake Owen was awesome! He put on a fantastic show. I will see him again every chance I get and every time he plays Wild Bill's in the future.
Good entertainment. Disappointed in that the ones that spent the most $ for seats, ended up witht he worst view and not even able to touch him.
This was my first concert at Wild Bill's and let me say it couldn't have been better. The venue was great, the staff was great, and let's not forget Jake Owen. He knows how to put on a show and doesn't have to do with it a bunch of fireworks and lights. Just him and his band...I would recommend see Jake to anyone that loves country and rock, he is it on in one package...
Didn't enjoy the bra throwing. I went to hear the singing, not see bras.
This was my fourth time to see Jake. He can sing, play the guitar, is extremely entertaining, not to mention super hot!!!! I will continue to see him every time I can.
I definitely would go see Jake Owen again and AGAIN. He put on an awesome show! I took a friend - her 1st country concert - and she loved Jake Owen and is now a fan of his.
He was super duper awesome. I love his performance. I seen him in March of this year and wanted to see him again. I would definately go again to his next show.
I've known Jake for over 4 years now. I'm so proud of where he is at and he put on an AMAZING show last night at Billy Bob's. I just never get tired of seeing him live. :)
Phenomenal. So much energy. His bass player is hilarious and AWESOME.
Great music the place should have put him on the LCD TVs around the bars would have been better .
Jake was outstanding. Played for 90 minutes. Very energitic all concert long. Interacted with croud. Signed autograghs during and after show. One of the best concerts I've been to. Can't say enough it was just a fun night and I was the DD.
