Jackie Green puts on the best concert ever. It doesn't matter what kind of music Jackie plays, it is absolutely the best of its genre. Hope that he comes east more often - ABSOLUTELY THE BEST PERFORMER AROUND!!!

As always Jackie Greene is better live than the majority of bands you will see. However, it was a really different show, than he has done in the past. My group felt he spent to0 much time on covers and solos. All of us agreed it would have been a better show if he sang more (i.e. Spanish Harlem). We are guessing this had a lot to do with playing two nights in a row. He may do more of his material tonight. Still, one of the only acts we would drive an hour and a half in a snowstorm to see on a Tuesday night.

Jackie Greene is the greatest! He rocked the Ark with two sets of wonderful music. He is the most incredible "undiscovered" musician and songwriter around. Highly, highly recommended.

Jackie Greene was spectacular! It was quite possibly one of the best concerts I've ever been to. The Troubadour is an intimate venue with surprisingly good acoustics for a place that looks like a cross between a warehouse and a pub. The ground floor was standing room only but there were benches on the second floor which is where I sat. He came on after two warm up bands. The Parson Red Heads were mediocre, though Truth and Salvage Co. was a great rocking warm up with albeit somewhat simplistic lyrics. Jackie came on somewhere around 10:30 and finished a bit after 12:30. He really put on a show. His set list consisted of a wide variety of material. He played a lot of rock tunes from his most recent album Giving up the Ghost, but also some earlier material as well. Part of the concert he switched to an acoustic guitar and played some of his folkier songs including my favorite, "Gone Wanderin'". He also played a rock version of one of his very early songs, "The Rusty Nail". A really nice treat about this concert, though was also getting to hear him play some of his new material that he hasn't released yet. Of course he also did some covers. These included three Beetles songs from Rubber Soul and some great renditions of Grateful Dead songs. He played three or four Dead songs but for me the highlights were an up beat rendition of "Scarlet Begonias" (even though he did botch some of the words) and the encore "Sugaree". Jackie Greene is one of the best and most under-appreciated artists of this millennium. He is varied in style and actually writes material where the lyrics have depth and meaning. If he is town you owe it to yourself to check him out.

Jackie Greene is beyond talented! He is totally amazing, he played a awesome set from his fantastic original songs to covers of great Beatles and Grateful Dead tunes. He has a great energy and history about him. Jackie Greene is totally Pure Classic American Rock and Roll!

Jackie Greene is a new superstar. He played mostly his own songs which are steeped in the American tradition. He also played 3 songs each from the Beatles and the Grateful Dead. He turned them all into Jackie Greene songs. His band was very tight. They looked like clean cut college kids, while Jackie Greene looked like a young Zimmerman. He is a graduate of Phil Lesh University.

Jackie Greene is a phenomenal talent. Great times at a great venue.

Jackie and his band mates did not disappoint.It was a perfect mix of originals and covers,all done with soul and passion.

Saw Jackie with Phil at the Fillmore and also at Twist and Shout --this show was great. He has a new look, and was really energetic and seemed to be enjoying himself. Quite a variety of songs, including covers. I would definitely see him again.

Having seen Jackie Greene play with Phil Lesh and Friends, my wife and I were excited to see Jackie perform with his own band. We had been to Blueberry Hill before and new it was a tiny venue. We got right up to the front of the stage. Jackie came out and from the start sounded fantastic. He had the whole place on their feet and dancing from the get go. Song after song we was able to keep the music sounding great and the energy in the room outstanding. After the show Jackie stuck around to meet a few fans. We had an incredible time and can't wait for him to come back to St. Louis.

First saw Jackie in 2005 and was amazed and always go whenever he's within 100 miles. Keeps getting better. And the Duck Room is such a great venue.

His show was probably one of the best that I have been to. The phenomenal talent of Jackie Greene and the intimacy of Blueberry Hill's Duck Room added to the great experience.

Since I've been introduced, I've yet to bring anyone to Jackie that hasn't had a GREAT time.

I thought that there would more new songs since I had heard he is making a new record,, but his old songs are great. He mixed them up really well and had new ways of playing them as well. Also, Hazel Miller sang a couple of songs with him, including 'The Thrill Is Gone' to end the first set.. Four and 1/2 stars.

Jackie Greene is one of the most diverse and all-encompassing musicians I've heard in years. Everything from blues to ballads to covers from The Stones and The Dead. Check him out, he's a treat not to miss!!

Jackie is the most unbelievable artist in a very, very long time. He needs to play more of his songs and not sell himself short by playing so many cover songs, i.e. Grateful Dead. That was a huge dissapointment, although any song he has written was totally amazing!

Solid player and singer backed by a pocket drummer, competent rhythm/lead guitar player, and a bass player who definitely holds down the bottom. Set list was varied and interesting. Some great covers to compliment his originals. I was in Cleveland visiting family. Hope he comes to St. Louis.

Keep Jackie coming BACK to House of Blues! Wonderful Artist! A bit too warm in the room! Overall had a amazing time!!!

I live in Indiana and have been waiting to see Jackie Greene for more than a year. When I heard he was coming to Columbus Ohio and to Cincinnati I bought tickets for both and ti was worth every cent. This guy can write , sing and play guitar with anyone. He is an amazing guitar player and will someday be ranked at the top. Both shows were great with Jackie doing mostly his own material with some covers thrown in. I loved the taxman beatle cover and the Sugaree cover in Columbus with Chris Robinson coming out. Great Shows!
