  • Wish Jack brought a band!

    by LoveCountry11 on 3/30/10Showcase Live - FoxboroRating: 3 out of 5

I have attended several country concerts at Showcase Live and have enjoyed each one. The intimate atmosphere of this venue makes it an unforgettable experience every time. This event, however, did not live up to the expectations that have been set by prior concerts. I've heard from others who have seen Jack Ingram that he is great in concert, but this concert was honestly much different that I anticipated. It was not made clear that this would be a dinner show where the entire general admission area in front of the stage was filled up by tables. Also, the energy level was low because the entire show was acoustic. I can appreciate an acoustic concert if it is made clear that that's how it will be. Overall, I wouldn't say that it was a terrible performance, just disappointing due to the lack of band and not having been notified of the dinner show style.

  • Guess I missed the fine print

Show was painful, sounded like the same song over and over again...I got shushed at one point for talking. He didn't have a band and everyone was sitting. Not what i was expecting after hearing his CD...was more like Storytellers.

  • Jack Ingram is a Phenomenal Entertainer

by Seersha on 3/29/10Showcase Live - FoxboroRating: 5 out of 5

I can't remember when I've enjoyed a live show, or the entertainer himself, as much as I did on Friday night, when I saw Jack Ingram. He is an awesome story teller, as well as a phenomenal country singer who really knows how to engage his audience.

  • One of the best shows I've ever seen!!

by DebbyfromBoston on 3/29/10Showcase Live - FoxboroRating: 5 out of 5

Jack Ingram provided great music, entertaining and inspiring stories and stuck around to sign autographs and take pictures afterwards. He is an engaging artist with Texas-sized talent and a great sense of humor.

  • Jack is very entertaining!

Jack played a solo acoustic set at Patriot Shocase in Foxboro MA that was quite entertaining and funny, he is a true showman with a great voice. He played all of his hits and some others that he told a little story of the meaning behind the songs. I strongly recommend seeing him and I am so happy for him that he never gave up and just kept going, like he said he's Jack Ingram and he plays country music. !

Show was great, performance was great, unfortunately at showcase live in foxboro mass it was a bit cramped and overpacked for adults. 8 to a table made for 4 is a little ridiculous

We loved his show. He is such a nice person - nothing put-on about him. His songs are great - they are from the heart. And he is hot!

This venue is beautiful and small enough to have that cozy intimate feeling to it. Jack performed his hits and new material and told stories that had the audience rolling with laughter. He is such a happy guy and so enthusiastic that you just can't help but be smiling through it all. For example, in preparation for "Barefoot and Crazy" he hopped around taking is his boots and socks off, and encouraged everyone to have fun. We all had a great time. He told stories of how his music first got radio air-play and you could feel his excitement. I have seen Jack many times (every chance I get) and he is always worth seeing, but this show was really electrifying!! You just have to go see him!!!

He put on a very enjoyable, thoughtful show. Left Showcase Live feeling as though I really knew him. Wasn't sure until we got there that this would be an acoustic performance, I'd like to see him with his band. Good Guy.

  • Jack was great

by SAinVA on 3/26/10Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 4 out of 5

This was my first time seeing Jack Ingram at an acoustic show (my third JI concert overall). While I knew he would put on a good show, I really surprised at just how good it was. Jack sounded great! Some artists can't hold their own without a full band and sound effects, but he really showcased his voice (along with his sense of humor and song writing ability). Not only did he sing to us and chat with us for an hour and a half, but he also signed autographs and took pictures with fans after the show. His shows, including acoustic ones, are so full of energy, and I will definitely be attending his concerts in the future.

Something I didn't realize from seeing his shows with his band and even listening to his CD's was, what an excellent musician Jack is...he is a writer with a way with words that touches and delights, but his guitar work is also excellent. He stood up in front of the audience for almost two hours and played beautifully, masterfully, effortlessly, and with a sense of fun and sheer love of the music. My appreciation of Jack was renewed and expanded. And as an added bonus he has a great sense of humor, and was so comfortable with his storytelling and interaction with the audience...it all just added to the whole show. Now, when I listen to his CD's, I also know where the origin of the song came from and it all comes from his life and his experiences. I won't miss a chance to see him again, and for anyone who loves music well-played, and words well-written, and someone who loves to share it all with the listener, I recommend seeing Jack Ingram.

  • Ingram had a great acoustic show

    by AtlantaMan35 on 3/25/10Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

Birchmere was a perfect setting for the acoustic show, very personal experience. Ingram's show was a great mix of good music, fun stories as transition, personal information, and comedy all rolled into one. Would definitely see him again every chance I get.

Great night with a masterful musician, wonderful story teller, and over all, handsome man!

  • Jack Ingram at the Birchmere

by Anonymous on 3/25/10Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

This was a great, intimate concert. Jack was comfortable up on stage with only his guitar and the stories behind the songs and about his life really were great! He really inspired me to try to figure out what my passion is and to go out there and achieve my dreams like he has.
