Ja Rule's long and successful career started in 1999 with Venni Vetti Vecci, which reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 200 list and sold more than 184,000 copies in the first few months on the market. Despite being a well-known veteran in the hip- hop world, Ja Rule still loves to tour. The artist does gigs at large concert halls as well as smaller but popular venues such as the House of Blues in New Orleans. Tickets to any concert are some of the hottest around not matter what town he appears in. The rapper knows what it takes to keep his fans hopping and blends in music at these concerts from albums that date back all the way to his humble beginnings. The man's deep base voice keeps the walls rattling at whatever venue he plays; fans always get the most out of his shows.
Ja Rule has been in the music industry long enough to put out plenty of studio albums such as Vecci, Pain Is Love from 2001 and R.U.L.E. in 2004. The artist has also worked hard to get his particular sound out with an independent album, Mirror, that was released in 2009. The artist's most recent album, Pain Is Love 2, was released in 2012 as a follow-up to the original Pain Is Love. The follow-up album was the first studio album the rapper has released in eight years signaled a full-scale comeback. In 2013, the artist continued that comeback with a tour that crisscrossed the country, staging concerts on both coasts.

The show overall was pretty good but from the start it took them and hour long just to make an entrance the people they had to warm up the crowd nobody knew of and when Ashanti and Jarule finally came out they were having sound issues the concert supposed to start at 8 they didn’t get there till 9:40 well on stage that is. And I had floor seats every time they would start to perform everybody would stand up out there seats so I had to basically stand for and hour and half just to enjoy the show smh
I guess I can’t say it was specifically the performers alone but the James Brown Arena should be ashamed.. The sound was so bad that anyone sitting in the top sections couldn’t hear the words to the songs. The concert was said to start at 8pm and end at 10:30pm and the performers did not come on stage until 9:40pm. It was just all around a disappointment.
The celebrities came out waaaaay later then should have. The venue tried stalling for so long. Many people weren’t very happy.
They took close to 2 hours to come out. The sound was horrible through the whole performance. I love Ashanti and Jarule but it was so bad. I wish I can get my money back. hORRIBLE. I will not book through the promotion company again yougfly entertainment.
I enjoyed the show! They had technical and sound issues but they worked through it and gave a great show in my opinion!
It was great I enjoyed the both of them I sung all night
As a long time Ja rule & Ashanti fan I throughly enjoyed the set. Despite a late start and sound issues it was a great time. The alternating on and off the stage to do their collaborations and solo records was awesome!
I really enjoyed the Ashanti & Ja'Rule concert. Even though the show was supposed to start at 8pm, we weren't able to sit down until like 7:50. I didn't like that. The sound system kept messing up on Ja'Rule as well when he first came out. I wasn't sure what that was about. Ashanti was a star all alone! Their energy together is amazing. I've always wanted to see them perform since I was a little girl and i finally got the chance to do so at 31 years old. Overall, the night was definitely a night of hits!
The stars did good the speaker was covering the middle part of stage then several audience members would get in the middle of the stair way and block the view to the stage in order to record. The show was suppose to start at 8 but the stars didn’t come out till 9:40. The locals were terrible.
The show was horrible could have been way better then it was
Ja Rule is really that guy. Absolutely great performance. Great energy. They had some technical sound issues at first, but he still gave an amazing performance. Thanks Ja!
The headliners were great. The opening act was questionable and the sound gave too many issues throughout the show.
From start to finish, every second was a vibe! We couldn't stop raving over how much fun we had getting to be in the moment without a care jamming and dancing to all the throwbacks, even between sets!! This show definitely deserves a full 5 star. The only reason I didn't give a full 5 star is because Fabolous was a no-show, but his merch was there? We were looking forward to seeing everyone so it was a let down not having the full line-up. Besides that, everyone who did show up and showed out was a dream and definitely one for the books!
The show was a great success. The hype men played classic songs we knew back in the 2000's while we waited for the main acts to come on. There is three reasons why I gave this show a 3 star rating. Let's start with Young Jeezy. I don't know who's idea it was to put him on after Ja Rule & Ashanti but that was not right. So many people left! They probably assumed he had cancelled. Then there is Fabolous. He actually didn't perform. The poster is therefore a false advertisement. Lastly (which is not a part of the show) is the parking. No one should ever pay $30 for parking. Apparently there was other parking spots that cost less. Parking should have one flat rate for everyone. Next time I'll just park far away I don't care. Changes need to be made.
Honestly, not what I expected. Could have put on a better show, it was not a concert feeling. It was decent, but just not what I expected.
Really disappointed my favorite artist (Fabolous) was advertised on concert flyer since being announced and was never updated saying he was not showing up that was the only reason on attending this concert What a let down
So much fun! It was like high school dance but with money & legally drinking & without a curfew! LOL!
Every moment was great!! Best yet! My kids wanna see yall in concert so again soon
I loved it. Was so fun. Great clean restrooms. Ja rule and Ashanti had the whole crowd hyped. Fat Joe made it fun also .ying yang twins was one of the best performances as well.
