About

Iya Terra in Concert

When Iya Terra bring their message-oriented lyrics and deep roots reggae sound to the stage, they're all about spreading good vibes and getting a party started. After establishing an audience in Southern California, the band began to take their message all over the country with their Link Up Tour 2014, a DIY effort in partnership with the group Ital Vibes.

In their subsequent journeys, they've been on the bill with reggae legends like Black Uhuru, Yellowman, and Barrington Levy. In addition to maintaining a powerful live presence in the Southwestern part of the U.S., Iya Terra have been on festivals and tours that took them to the East Coast and beyond, bringing their agenda of social consciousness and empowerment to every audience they've encountered along the way. Whether playing the Reggae on the River festival in Humboldt County, California, or the Levitate Music and Arts Festival in Marshfield, Massachusetts, Iya Terra have always been part of the party.

Iya Terra Background

Deeply indebted to roots reggae but sporting a modern feel, Iya Terra are an L.A. band that match feel-good grooves with socially conscious lyrics in order to spread a positive message. Their origin story goes back to 2012, when singer/guitarist Nathan Feinstein and bassist Nick Loporchio started playing together on the streets. Eventually they brought in additional members for a full-band sound and took things to the next level.

In 2014, Iya Terra released a debut EP. By the next year, their first album — Full Circle — had arrived, and it reached No. 12 on Billboard's reggae charts. It was around this time that the band began to tour in earnest, taking their deep reggae vibes all around the United States. In 2017, Iya Terra further expanded their scope with a second album, Sacred Sound.

    Iya is greatness!

by Ripnlip on 8/17/22Harrah's Resort SoCal - Dive - Funner

$7 for a small bottled water is insane. I remember casinos giving free drinks when your playing the slots. They makeup for it on the concert goers it looks like. The venue is nice for smaller crowds. Iya Terra though is the main reason this was so awesome. The band is phenomenal, the energy and good vibes just pours out of them. Nathan and Nick bring the vocals every time. Rise up with Iya and bring good vibes and love!

    Review

by Wabie Sabie on 7/20/22The Observatory - Santa Ana

I waited with great anticipation to see Iya Terra Especially after the reschedule but I was really disappointed in the fact that they played other bands music and not there own and than they brought back some of the guys that opened for them. I payed to see them and hear their music not others! Really bummed about this!

    Good performance, bad logistics

by C on 7/20/22The Observatory - Santa Ana

Artists were great, the venue is cool, but the time to start the show was way too long beyond the doors opening at 7, then the 30+ minutes between sets was WAYYY too long! We actually didn’t even get to stay / see the headliner because they didn’t even start until after 10pm! (Show “started” at 7)

by Shell on 7/19/22The Observatory - Santa Ana

This show was off the chain! The opener Cydways were amazing! The Simpkins Project sounded phenomenal. Finally, Iya Terra NEVER disappoints. They are so interactive, sound flawless, and their lyrics are so inspiring and reflective. Thank you to everyone who made this show possible locally!!

    Iya terra was great.

by Cez on 7/19/22The Observatory - Santa Ana

Venue is great only complaint I have is to stuffy when it's sold out. Need more ventilation open doors get some air flowing especially with this covid stuff. Alcohol is way over priced.

    Moved venues

by goldendeal on 10/14/19House of Blues Houston Restaurant - Houston

The concert would have been great IF House of Blues would not have moved it to their restaurant. The room was built to serve food not play music, Very bad sound and could not see a thing as the band was on on a rise stage.
