About

Iya Terra in Concert

When Iya Terra bring their message-oriented lyrics and deep roots reggae sound to the stage, they're all about spreading good vibes and getting a party started. After establishing an audience in Southern California, the band began to take their message all over the country with their Link Up Tour 2014, a DIY effort in partnership with the group Ital Vibes.

In their subsequent journeys, they've been on the bill with reggae legends like Black Uhuru, Yellowman, and Barrington Levy. In addition to maintaining a powerful live presence in the Southwestern part of the U.S., Iya Terra have been on festivals and tours that took them to the East Coast and beyond, bringing their agenda of social consciousness and empowerment to every audience they've encountered along the way. Whether playing the Reggae on the River festival in Humboldt County, California, or the Levitate Music and Arts Festival in Marshfield, Massachusetts, Iya Terra have always been part of the party.

Iya Terra Background

Deeply indebted to roots reggae but sporting a modern feel, Iya Terra are an L.A. band that match feel-good grooves with socially conscious lyrics in order to spread a positive message. Their origin story goes back to 2012, when singer/guitarist Nathan Feinstein and bassist Nick Loporchio started playing together on the streets. Eventually they brought in additional members for a full-band sound and took things to the next level.

In 2014, Iya Terra released a debut EP. By the next year, their first album — Full Circle — had arrived, and it reached No. 12 on Billboard's reggae charts. It was around this time that the band began to tour in earnest, taking their deep reggae vibes all around the United States. In 2017, Iya Terra further expanded their scope with a second album, Sacred Sound.

Best experience at a concert, ever!

by Stephanie Paschal on 9/25/23The Sound - Del Mar

I've been to many concerts, & live music events of different types, in different settings. Out of all of the different ones that I have thought were the best, they now all fall short after seeing & hearing Iya Terra live! Their energy & vibes, as well as the energy & vibes of the crowd & the entire atmosphere was unreal! They're of course incredibly talented, but they're all also very engaging with the audience, & seem so genuinely into not just the music but the messages they have written to their music. They had already become pretty much my favorite band, but getting to experience them this first time definitely sealed the deal on that title! Lol đŸ™đŸ»âœšđŸ«¶đŸ»

    Meet and greet

by Disappointed in venue but the bands were awesome on 3/10/23Music Farm - Charleston

First of all the bands were awesome. We got there and we had meet and greet the security guy who was very nice and knowledgeable said meet and greet had started so go wait to be checked in. Some guy(upper management) who was part of the venue came out and was like “what are you doing?” very harshly we told him we had meet and greet tickets. But he was still ranting like we were going to try and do something wrong. I paid a lot of money for the meet and greet and this guy was just raising hell making it a bad experience. So music farm needs a class for upper management in how to greet and interact with people who pays a lot for meet and greets not to feel like criminals. We probably want be back to music farm because of this.
