    It's a Wonderful Life: a solid favorite

by Cicci on 1/1/12Andiamo Novi - Novi

The cast pulled off what I thought was a very difficult thing to do...a radio drama with this particular story of love and greed. They did a spectacular job in a non-stop production with energy to spare. Loved every minute of the play.

It's a shame this show is over. We went to it Friday December 23rd, 2011 on it's last night in St. Charles and it was fantastic! We enjoyed every aspect of it. It was entertaining and full of holiday spirit. The actors were amazing and the children did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend this show if it ever comes around again ... thanks.

Great.play!! It followed the movie almost to the letter. Great singing and acting. This was my wife's favorite Christmas movie and I surprised her with these tickets for her birthday. Nice size venue. Not a bad seat in the whole place. We would definitely go see it again

by Rayray4821 on 12/22/11Pheasant Run - St Charles

This was the best theater production of It's A Wonderful Life EVER!! The acting was superb and the way the actors could play multiple roles without skipping a beat was phenomenal! The setting was great and it felt like we were right there in the studio. It was a fantastic show and I would see it again and again!!

    The best I'vs Seen

by tinytammy on 12/12/11Pheasant Run - St Charles

This play was wonderful. The characters really did a great job at making you feel like you were right there in the 40's with them but at the same time they made you feel like you were right there in Bedford Falls. I would for surely recommend this play but don't sit in the first row. We were in the second and I must say the spit was flying. Well done everyone!

I absolutely would recommend this. The acting was superb! I loved Anna Hammonds voice and George was a very passionate actor. The little girls were a great surprise-- my 6 year old daughter loved them. Overall- a great rendition of a great movie!

Yes, It Was a Wonderful Life!

by spanishdancer on 1/1/11Pheasant Run - St Charles

It's A Wonderful Life could not have been performed in a more appropriate setting. An intimate theater was just what it needed. The staging was great, it did make you feel like you were in a radio recording studio in the 40's. The actors were superb. We went as part of a Christmas present to my mother-in-law and the whole family was happy to share in that gift with her.

This was a great show! The performers were amazing & the story came to life just like the movie. It was even cooler because it was a play within a play. Definitely a holiday treat worth every penny!

    Excellent Performance

by TommyRay on 12/22/10Pheasant Run - St Charles

It's a Wonderful Life is my favorite movie and this play catches the essense of that story via a live radio play. The actors do a great job recreating a performance. It makes for a very enjoyable eveing.

    It was Magical

by Salsie on 12/21/10Fitzgerald Theater - St Paul

I had never seen "It's a Wonderful Life" on the big screen before. There were things that either I didn't previously notice or remember. Getting a little history of the movie was a brilliant idea. The organ music was wonderful and the dancers seemed to float on air. I loved participating in the movie lines, the snowball fight at the end, ringing the bells, the actors and the carols not to mention the popcorn. We hope you do this again next year.

Not worth the money to see "It's a Wonderful Life" at Fitzgerald. I love the movie, but I was expecting a lot more additional things besides one scene of live dancing. Definitely not worth the money to watch the movie with other people.

    More than 5 stars

by JAB7 on 12/17/10Studio One Riffe Center - Columbus

This radio play of It's A Wonderful Life" was by far the most entertaining play I've ever had the pleasure to see, including ones I've seen in New York. The cast was absolutely amazing in their talent and timing. Honestly, if I didn't live3 hrs away I would purchase tickets again---it is THAT good! Their ability to make you believe you are actually in a 1940's type radio studio is incredible. I can't say enough about the sound effects and how they are accomplished to create the special effects over the radio. Everyone in this small cast deserves a standing "O" for capturing the magic of this kind of production. To actually see how this type of performance was radio broadcasted was in itself an education. You cannot find a more professional cast than the one on this CATCO stage. So glad I was there!!!

This was an amazing production. The actors did a fantastic portrayal of radio artists from a bygone era, while recreating the key players in "It's A Wonderful Life". If it is produced again next year, I would like it to be part of my new holiday tradition and see it again. I would also highly recommend it to friends.

    Wonderful!

by Mary562 on 12/13/10Pheasant Run - St Charles

Loved it! Excellent production by all the actors! The only negative were our seats. Do not ever sit in the first row at this theatre (Pheasant Run). There was no leg room and our necks were stiff when we left being this close to the stage. We were literally on top of it. Besides the physical discomfort, you can't see every thing that is going on as you could from a view farther back. Your focus is always on the actors and there are a lot of background things happening that you keep missing. Pheasant Run should remove the first two rows of seats at the very least. Will never accept seats this close to this stage again. If that's all that's left, consider the production sold out.
