We were so excited for this show and were not disapppointed!!!
Show was great. But , for some reason they left out my favorites , the George Harrison song, Long Long, Long. No clue why they did not include it
Overall, this show was a disappointment. Vocal entrances and vocal harmonies were sloppy. I'm not sure what was going on with Joey Molland, but his intonation was way off. The sound wasn't very good: the piano and voices were distorted and the mix ws uneven and unpleasant. I couldn't hear the bass in the first 2 or 3 tunes. The lighting was amateurish. Cues were sloppy and ill-timed. The follow spot was dim, and poorly aimed. Highlights were Todd'd rendition of "Sexy Sadie", Chistopher Cross' "Sailing" sounded pretty good and Mickey Dolenz was having a great time.
Fine show. All the performers were in top form. The sound was terrific. back-up band right in step. Show came together great for an eclectic group of performers. This is a must see event
Each artist was fantastic they did some of their own songs as well as some of the Beatles songs. I am a true fan of the Akron Civic Theatre. The sound is always amazing! Loved the performance!
This was a great show. Not only were songs played from The White Album; there was a great sampling of songs from Badfinger, Christopher Cross, Todd Rundgren, Chicago and The Monkeys. Highly recommend this show if you have a chance to see it.
Only a few entertainers could still carry a tune. Theater was extremely warm.
Fantastic covers of The White Album AND a couple of big hits from each of the 5 main players. Todd Rundgren stole the show with his great playing and humor. Mickey Dolenz is a better entertainer than I ever imagined. Joey Molland from Badfinger added a touch of class. Christopher Cross was in fine voice, and Jason Scheff actually sounds better now than he did in his last couple years with Chicago! They also did an unbelievably great version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps and a great job all night!
Everything was great. Only unfortunate that so many people stood up the entire show and blocked the shorter people. I was OK since I'm 6'3" tall but I couldn't see sitting down either.
Venue is cramped and too warm. Rows are too narrow. Artists were top notch but song selection was just fair.
Loved every minute! Everyone sounded great singing their own songs and Beatles White Album.
The performers and the music was great; however, all the people standing up made for a very unpleasant viewing experience. As a result we will not attend future concerts. We paid for seats and would like to sit in them. If people want to stand you should make them stand in the back of the theater.
This was an awful show. The sound was atrocious. The volume was so loud that it was nothing but distortion. In a theater with the acoustics of the Akron Civic, this was totally unnecessary and made any vocals - even spoken word between songs - unintelligible. Most of the fans didn't seem to care about the music anyway. They were Todd groupies for the most part, coming to their feet and remaining standing for the entire time he was on the stage. As a result, everybody else in the theater had to come to their feet to see any performance by anybody on the stage whenever Todd poked his head up. Sorry Todd, as much as I admire your talent, I prefer to sit and listen and watch you perform rather than jump up and down waving my arms in the air and screaming in mock adulation. The performance was clearly designed to encourage that response since a high-power spotlight above center stage directed at the audience was periodically illuminated with the express purpose of engendering rabid screaming from the sheeple in attendance. No more live Todd events in my future, I assure you. This was a butcher job of classic Beatles music, undertaken only to feed the ego of the performers. With one exception -- Christopher Cross truly attempted to provide a sincere and respectful performance, and his time as the lead in several songs following the intermission were well done. Respect.
This was a really good show. Christopher, Todd, Mickey, Jason and Joey all still sounding good. The guys did a great job in choosing the additional band members, they did an excellent job on every song. It was a "FUN" concert, listing to all the songs from the White Album, and each of the guys doing a couple of their own tunes. The crowd was defiantly into it. The Akron Civic Theater is nothing to look at from the outside, but walk inside and it is unbelievable, have never been to a theater like this. Go see this show! It is a once in a lifetime treat for all of us old classic rock and rollers!!
My mom is a huge fan, so I surprised her with taking her to the concert for her birthday. We had such an amazing time. They were wonderful. We are kinda sad it's over. We would definitely do this again!!!!
Celebrating the anniversary of the Beatles White Album was enhanced by the individual performances of the band member's award-winning songs. What a fabulous night in a beautiful theater! I highly recommend it if it comes to your city.
Great nostalgia concert by a great group of musicians
I really enjoyed the entire show. I was amazed with the acoustic performance by Cross and his beautiful voice. Of course Todd is amazing ❤️❤️❤️ and always entertaining. I plan to go see the show when it comes to LA
was not sure if the guys still had it in the aging department but they were fab u lous! They were having fun - we had fun and the sound was great!! Going to Greensburg now to do it again!
The performers gave it their all to provide us Beatles lovers, with a taste of pure magic for our ears.
