  • Awesome Fifty Years Ago Today - Akron Show - 9/28/19

by Vinny Dog on 9/30/19Rating: 5 out of 5

Every musician and artist in this show was outstanding and beyond talented. Loved the different styles of music and each artist contributed in their own style. Big Todd Rundgren fan and he is an amazing singer, guitarist and performer. Todd definitely rocks... So lucky to have seen this concert!!!

I was blown away by the talent at the Beatles show last week st the Broward center. Mickey sounded as good as ever, as did the others. I’ve seen The Monkees many times before, so seeing Mickey was a real treat. I LOVED hearing all of the singers big hits- as well as many Beatles favorites. I was able to get a seat in the orchestra, and it was great being so close. The sound was amazing as well- I’d rate this show an A plus ! Fantastic!

Great seat Great show. Was never a HUGE Beatles fan liked most of the later stuff but the White Album was a true treasure. I'm from the age when in the day that the album was out you were supposed to be able to play Helter Skelter backwards and it would tell you that the Devil tells you to kill like Manson said it did. So me and my friends tried it and it just sounded like a foreign language nothing decipherable. But it was a true gem of an album which made me respect them more as musicians. Well the show got off to a little rocky start some sound issues but they were quickly fixed. Todd Rungren was as incredible as he always is. His costume changes were hilarious. The only disappointment would have been Christopher Cross and that was only because he did not seem to be into singing his own music. Whenever he did lead on any of the Beatles songs he performed he was very animated and even tried to sing in an English voice (very entertaining) but on his own songs was like oh hum ho. The rest of the solo projects were outstanding. But overall the night was great. I recommend to anyone to go see the show if it comes to your town. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to go again if they do another project. Maybe they should do the Abbey Road or Sargent Peppers Lonely Hearts Club. Could be very interesting.

  • Great show

Getting to hear both the Beatles White album and the biggest hits of Todd Rundren, Jason Scheff, Christopher Cross, Mickey Dolenz and Badfinger in the same show was awesome!!

  • Fun Show

by Mike K on 9/28/19Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 4 out of 5

We thought it was just a Beatles tribute and did not realize that Mickey Dolenz, Todd Rundgren, Christopher Cross, Joe Mollard, and Jason Scheff would be the performers, so it was a pleasant surprise. It was fun to hear songs from the Monkees and Badfinger, and Rundgren's and Cross' solo work along with the Beatles tunes. They did choose some odd selections from the White Album, but all in all, it was a very entertaining show.

  • Five concerts in one

by Ed on 9/28/19Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

These musicians still have it. Listening to the White Album performance was excellent but the treat was performances by each stars own hits. I would attend again if I could.

  • Out of tune

by KJ on 9/28/19Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 1 out of 5

We were so disappointed of the event. We thought we were going to listen to the Beatles White Album..instead the first two songs were from the white album and then the featured singers started singing their own songs..and it was out of tune and bad..we walked out..what a waste of money..although all the people around us seemed to enjoy it.. ...the theater is beautiful.

  • Supergroup does the Beatles

by Al N on 9/28/19Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Incredible show!!! Each band member a legend in their own right. They did almost the entire White Album, and each member of the band also played a couple of songs from their own catalog!!! A truly memorable event.

  • Best ever!

  • Left something to be desired....

by B. K. on 9/28/19Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 3 out of 5

Would’ve been terrific to know Who the Artists were from the beginning. Five different guys from different decades & genres. Sitting at the back Orchestra didn’t afford us closeups, nor were introductions made :// And the acoustics weren’t too good. That May have been a sound engineers’ Fault. Why wasn’t there a big screen at the back of the stage where we could’ve enjoyed being ‘a part of’. We’ve been to better tributes.

NOT MANY BEATLES SONGS SO DIDN’T MEET OUR EXPECTATIONS. AUDIENCE REACTION WAS CORDIAL BUT NOT AT ALL ENTHUSIASTIC. ABOUT 1/4 OF THE AUDIENCE LEFT DURING INTERMISSION.

Literally the Worst Show EVER! It appeared the band never even rehearsed. Todd and his two songs, Great as Always, (even though song choices were predictable). This rest of the group was an embarrassment. Even using iPads for reference. Sad.
