  • Wonderful Life Alabama Theater

by Kim on 12/31/21Alabama Theatre - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5

It was absolutely fantastic to see this timeless movie during the Christmas season in such a beautiful location as the Alabama Theater. The singalongs with organ, Big Bertha, was such a wonderful nostalgic topping before the curtains opened. Thanks for this opportunity to see a classic movie on the big screen as this.

  • Nostalgic & Fun

by Michael Birmingham on 12/22/21Alabama Theatre - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5

We took 2 families with 6 kids ranging from 9 to 18, parents and Grandpa and everyone enjoyed it. The organ is really neat, and the atmosphere takes you back. Dress up, imagine it's a hundred years ago and have a blast. Concession lines are long, but the pre-show sing-along helps. We navigated the long line and still made our seats by the time the show started. It's my 5th time there and I will return.

  • Fun holiday experience!

by Jbsprout on 12/22/21Alabama Theatre - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I had a great time seeing It's a Wonderful Life at the Alabama Theater! This was our first time seeing this movie in a theater and just hearing the audience's reactions to the movie made it so much better! As always we thoroughly enjoyed hearing the Wurlitzer organ before the show. We even sang Christmas carols and saw a short Disney Christmas cartoon. The Alabama Theater at Christmas a such a festive experience!!

  • The new seats are very nice

    by elizabeth13215 on 12/17/21Landmark Theatre - SyracuseRating: 4 out of 5

The sound level was WAY too loud, which detracted from my enjoyment of the movie.

  • Incredible

by Tommy on 12/14/21Alabama Theatre - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5

Favorite event of our Christmas season every year (except last year-Covid). We have a family of 11, 2 daughters, 2 son-in-laws, and 5 grandsons. Love every moment including organ, audience participation singing Christmas carols. There nothing like the beauty of the Alabama Theatre filled with Laughter and clapping.

  • Great Experience

by Grace on 12/9/21Alabama Theatre - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5

For the last few years our family has made it a tradition to come and watch a Christmas movie at the Alabama Theater. It is always a wonderful experience. We love the organ music and song a long as much as the movie itself (maybe more). It is a great way to start off the Christmas celebrations!!! WE LOVE IT!!!

  • Had a great time

by Dan the concert goer on 12/6/21Bardavon 1869 Opera House - PoughkeepsieRating: 5 out of 5

Had an amazing time at the Bardavon, it was awesome that i got to sit where i wanted to sit, nothing to complain about and would come here again.

  • Movie was wonderful, but....

    by S. T. on 12/6/21Bardavon 1869 Opera House - PoughkeepsieRating: 3 out of 5

The movie was wonderful! However I was disappointed in the Bardavon. I was thrilled that proof of vaccination was required and masks were required at all times. It's the only reason I allowed myself to attend. However, the speaker that came out before the movie was not wearing a mask!!! And he did not remind everyone to keep their masks on during the movie. I saw people take their masks off once seated. Also, the stage area could have been decorated for the holidays. There were a 2 very sad pieces of Garland hanging from the balcony and that was it. Some poinsettias on the stage or Garland on the stage would have been nice.

  • JOYFUL and DELIGHTFUL!!

by Msh on 1/31/20Alabama Theatre - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5

Beautiful place. Incredible Christmas decorations. Great movie sound and quality. Excellent sound quality from organist--lovely introduction hand-picked songs specific to the film. Loved his cheery spirit and charisma. Just long enough of a delightful sing-along introduction. BUT GET THERE VERY EARLY to get seats together with your group!! Thank you, Alabama Theatre, for (as always) an enriching and joyful experience.

  • Turn off cell phones!

    by D. on 12/22/19Landmark Theatre - SyracuseRating: 4 out of 5

The sounds needs improvement in this venue. Also, maybe an announcement to turn off cell phones? I've never heard so many cell phones going off during the movie... AND people talking on the phone.

  • Almost Perfect

by GB on 12/21/19The Metropolitan Entertainment Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Everything was almost perfect. The staff was a little to chatty when the movie was playing. The alcohol was overpriced, coffee was less than warm and our waitress spilled my drink. However, we will return and it was still a very enjoyable evening!
