the Venue, Chevy and the movie were great, not the interview
by Joan on 2/21/20Palace Theatre Columbus - ColumbusThe theater was lovely as always. The film was as funny or funnier on the big screen and hearing everyone laugh made it even more enjoyable. The lady who interviewed Chevy obviously had no idea who Chevy was or why he is heralded as one of the best modern day comedians. She READ his bio like someone would read a bio of an unknown mushroom hunter. She did not motivate him, encourage him or stimulate him to talk. Chevy being 70+ was a bit forgetful and perhaps overwhelmed by all the questions and the interview. She did nothing to help him or smooth out the quiet moments while he tried to remember. She was unprepared and did not seem to have done any research on him. She Was a total Dud. Had they had someone with a personality who at least knew of Chevy, the interview would have been So much better and more spontaneous. She let him flounder with no support. Most Columbus DJs, even Joel Bradley would have been so much better in that role. very disappointing. Any one would have been honored and thrilled to pieces to be in her place. She had the enthusiasm of a pebble.
