All the headliners played different stages overlapping

by Jules on 9/12/23Riverbend Music Center - Cincinnati

They had three stages and thays a small venue for three outdoor stages. The way the schedule worked out, bands played overlapping one another and so not only did it muddle the music, it made people filter out in the middle of sets to see the other bands. Just a really weird setup, and made the overall acoustics kinda bad. Cool concept, but execution was pretty underwhelming.

    Excellent Time, Supremely Organized

by Alkaline.Kyle on 9/12/23Riverbend Music Center - Cincinnati

One of the best festival experiences I have ever had! The venue was great and easy to navigate, the lineup was stellar and well planned, and the event ran sooo smoothly. Lines for everything were super quick. My only complaint is the after-event parking lot security. They don't seem to work for or with Riverbend and don't seem to know or care about the policies, even when presented with them in writing. And they real jerks about it, too.

Underoath was great. Sound was mid. Seriously with the 50ch minimum?

    The best event

by Caleb on 9/12/23Riverbend Music Center - Cincinnati

Phenomenal venue, incredibly well organized event, and the bands were excellent, the ones I saw all CRUSHED it. Definitely will be back next year

    VIP ripoff

by Alk3Love on 9/12/23Riverbend Music Center - Cincinnati

Show was great, the overlap of bands was annoying but not too bad. VIP tickets were a complete rip off. If you didn’t get there at 11:30 for the meet and greet with Hawthorne Heights it was worthless. You got a separate bar but none of the bars were busy so it wasn’t needed. There were other VIP areas by the stages but I don’t know how you got those passes. Those areas would’ve made the stupid amount I paid worth it at least. We didn’t even have our own bathroom.

    Truly amazing

by Genericxxxstars on 9/12/23Riverbend Music Center - Cincinnati

This festival is the best thing to have ever happened. This has been my family's second year going and it truly is a magical experience. It is just the serotonin boost this elder emo needs! Cannot thank Hawthorne Heights enough for putting this together!

    Best lineup since Warped Tour

Great seeing all of these bands together again and they all put in a great show. Hoping Hawthorne Heights can keep it going and that it returns next year!

    Great festival

by Gary on 9/12/23Riverbend Music Center - Cincinnati

The tickets were affordable for the number of bands playing. This was a great lineup, although some sets felt pretty short at times. All of the bands seemed legitimately happy to be there and performed really well. Overall, it was a memorable experience for us.

    Pretty good

by Hunter on 9/12/23Riverbend Music Center - Cincinnati

The show was great, the bands were all super tight, but a few notes: 1. Sound was pretty bad for the first several bands on the side stages 2. There was a merch cut on the bands 3. Riverbend is nice, but it's insanely expensive. Fortunately the festival provided water filling stations so I didn't have to spend a whole lot of money on drinks. 4. There weren't many vegan options for food at the festival. If there were options, I couldn't find them

    OIFL

by Len on 9/12/23Riverbend Music Center - Cincinnati

Wonderful festival put on by a nice band. Loved the lineup. Enjoyed the meet & greet opportunity. The booths & merch were entertaining. Wish the venue offered healthier food alternatives since re-entry wasn’t permitted.

    Life changing

    by Austin on 8/25/23

It was life altering. Never in my life did I think I'd get to see these bands play live. Definitely something I'll never forget. I felt everything was pretty much set up for success on the staffs end at the Stir Cove venue as well so it was a win win all around.

    Is For Lovers Emo Festival...

    by DarlingGirl on 8/24/23

Amazing 2 days in Iowa watching my favorite Emo bands. Thank you Hawthorne Heights for putting on such a great event. This was my first time seeing Emery with their full band & it was AMAZING! Will definitely attend again...hopefully when it isn't scorching HOT outside ;)

    Fantastic despite the weather

    by Tyler T on 8/24/23

It was a warm sunny day in Iowa on Sunday 8/20. The heat index was well over 100 degrees F. The bands came out and put on a show regardless. The heat did not slow any of them down. Hawthorne Heights, Anberlin and Mayday Parade were fantastic but Thrice stole the show for me. They came out at 10pm on that Sunday night and rocked Council Bluffs to sleep. It was a fun time and happy I was able to see all those guys in 2023.

Event itself was good, but no details prior

    by Beth24 on 8/23/23

we were trying to plan out how we would get a babysitter but since we didn’t see the actual lineup w/ times until week of at best, it was tough. Luckily, we got to go. The event was fun!

    MidWest Deserves It Too

    by Jake on 8/23/23

It was so nice to have so many iconic bands that are the life blood of emo music come to the Midwest. Had a blast at the festival. Will go any time it’s nearby!

    by Gaven on 8/23/23

I loved this festival. The heat was brutal, but the acts were awesome! I would highly recommend anyone who calls themselves an elder emo to experience this! JT is the man!
