    Somewhat disappointing

by Mama's Treat on 12/28/19Cadillac Palace - Chicago

Having watched the movie "White Christmas" more than once every Christmas for the past 25 plus years, it was very difficult to not compare this version to the movie version. I will say that the tap dance numbers were very good - we all enjoyed those dance numbers the best! However, the rest of the dance choreography was a bit boring, even if it was executed well. The "snow" song on the train was very well done and even had a bit of its own "humor" infused. We enjoyed the singing of "Bob and Betty"; but the one who stole the show was the young lady who played the General's granddaughter. Overall, we had a great day together; but I'm not sure the price I paid for five tickets in the first balcony were really worth it!

My sister, my 2 nieces and I went to see the Saturday afternoon show. Every part of the show was great...the singing, the acting and especially the dancing. It was phenomenal. Perfect show for the Christmas season.

    Outstanding performance!

by DitDot on 12/18/19Cadillac Palace - Chicago

My sister and I love to see White Christmas each year. This is the best White Christmas we've seen yet! We loved, loved , loved it!!!! The casting was spot on, the voices and dancing were superior, the sets and costumes were perfect. Only thing I can thing of was it was over too quickly! I could have watched those performers for at least another couple of hours!

    Great Family Entertainment

by Fedovest on 12/18/19Cadillac Palace - Chicago

Really cool theater and really nice production. Good combination of some Holiday Inn and White Christmas tunes. Great energy, choreography and singing. My whole family really enjoyed it (kids ages 5, 11, 12). And plenty of places to park - just use Spothero and there will be things within a block for under $14.

Great show! Just wish it was closer to Movie we love!!

by MmMm on 12/17/19Cadillac Palace - Chicago

The Play was really good with some very talented cast members! I enjoyed the music... just wish the songs and story were a closer match to the Irving Berlin Movie we have all grown to know and love. I was not impressed with the InnKeeper front desk singing … she has no singing part in the movie. Looks like it should stay that way. This is a beautiful theater - Cadillac Palace in Chicago. Although I will say is was 'miserably hot' during the December show. Cold outside... but very 'hot' inside.

Over-acted and too far from the original plot line

by Chicago on 12/17/19Cadillac Palace - Chicago

The dancing was great, but in general it was over-acted and while I expected some new songs or scenes from the movie that would not be possible on the stage and would be cut I felt that it strayed too far from the movie plot and failed to generate any feelings for the characters. Never got the feeling of why the General is beloved, or the connection of Bob and Phil, or the angst Betty felt of leaving Judy to go solo. Fell very flat.
