Start with a timeless tale of joy and goodwill, fill it with classic Irving Berlin songs, top it off with glorious dancing and lots of snow and come see IRVING BERLIN’S WHITE CHRISTMAS! It’s a must-see classic in a lavish new musical that the New York Times says to “put on your wish list.” IRVING BERLIN’S WHITE CHRISTMAS tells the story of a song-and-dance team putting on a show in a magical Vermont inn and falling for a stunning sister act in the process. Full of dancing, laughter and some of the greatest songs ever written! Give everyone the gift they’re dreaming of with this merry and bright holiday musical.
It was a great performance. Very pleased with how it followed the storyline of the movie - one of my favorites.
A Christmas tale of time; A time of seasons greetings, a time of Holiday spirit, & a time of self reflection & personal growth.
White Christmas was a beautiful show. The dancers were great. I enjoyed the songs, good voices. Lots of talent. The third tier middle was good seating.
We enjoyed this delightful production filled with quality acting, music, singing and dancing!!! DPAC is a wonderful host for theatrical productions. This production of White Christmas was exceptional!!! Bonus was seeing Lorna Luft live!!!
The show barely followed the movie "White Christmas". Many important parts were left out and other ideas were added. Musical performance by the lead characters was lacking--only one of the four had what I would consider to be a superior voice. Profanity was even added to the script! Wasted my time and money. My wife and I have seen over 30 different shows in our lifetime in New York, Washington, DC, Raleigh, Charlotte, Atlanta, Durham, Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco. This is the first show we left after intermission. Very disappointing.
We really enjoyed the play, the actors and the old-timey feel of the show. White Christmas is one of our favorite holiday movies. The DPAC, as usual, was awesome.
Show was awesome, dancing & singing were great--it was a fun time. DPAC is a great place to see shows.
A beautiful musical to kick off the Christmas season! So well done - the dance numbers were so much fun. It was a great gift for my Mom (but I loved it too!).
Great show with tons of music and dancing! Loved it!
This movie is one of my all time favorite Chritsmas movies, so I was very excited to see how they transformed it to stage. The songs that I adore came to life, especially Snow! The costumes were beautiful and I loved the addition of the supporting characters. My mom and I both cried!
An incredible performance from beginning to end. Entry, through metal detectors, was done smoothly and efficiently. The views of the performance were clear and unobstructed, and the performers were easy to hear. The professionalism of the actors was obvious, both in the songs and the acting. I would highly recommend this show to people of all ages.
The DPAC is a beautiful venue and the show, White Christmas, was wonderful. The leads had great voices, the costumes were perfect and the sets were impressive. It was a the perfect way to start the Christmas season!
As always, DPAC was wonderful, but I was disappointed with the performance. I love the movie and was expecting more. The cast was not large enough to pull off al the scenes. The set/scenery was not that impressive.
My daughter has loved the movie “White Christmas “ since she was a little girl. We were all excited to see the play, but were a little disappointed. It loosely followed the movie, but had some very major changes that , for us, were important and took away from the play. We know plays don’t always follow movies, but this one just seemed too far off for us. On the plus side, our experience at the DPAC was great and for that reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 3, which I felt the show actually deserved.
Cast, songs, dancing were all great! I love the story & watch the movie every year. The show was enough different to create renewed interest.
You staff, the play, music, costumes, everything was wonderful.
DPAC staff was fantastic. Helped with seating and bathrooms. The performance was beyond my expectations. Thanks for a New York evening right here in the Triangle!
I brought my 10 year old Granddaughter to see her first live musical. She was on the edge of her seat with excitement, smiles from ear to ear! It was great! By chance I had bought her a long red dress and it ended up very similar to the last act dresses. The show was amusing, entertaining and the tap routines were the best I had ever seen! Amazing thank you to the dancers.
The performance was everything and more than advertised! Music was superb and the singing was top notch. There was good continuity to the story everyone is familiar with from the Bing Crosby movie version. Money well spent.
Loved the production. From music, signing, acting, lighting & sets. It was a fun evening. Loved hearing the songs that were left out of the movie.
