    We were honored to attend!

by MaryC725 on 5/17/16ESPN Wide World of Sports HP Field House - Kissimmee

While planning our family reunion trip to Orlando we discovered the Invictus Games would be going on while we were there. We thought it would be a great experience for the kids, young athletes themselves, and it didn't disappoint - they loved it! However, the adults, some veterans themselves, felt a sense of humility and awe for the strength, courage, drive, and determination these athletes express - to have been in their presence was an honor and a privilege. Additionally, we were impressed with Prince Harry's presence - he was there to ensure the games ran smoothly and his personal attention to all the athletes was amazing. We are looking forward to Canada next year!

    Invictus Games Impressed!

by LKWGH1 on 5/16/16Champion Stadium at ESPN Wide World of Sports - Kissimmee

My wife and I had an overwhelming experience at the recent Invictus Games at Wide World of Sports in Orlando! There no problems entering and exiting the Games which we anticipated. I was excited to meet a Swimming Event competitor from the UK and a Critical Care Volunteer who was attending the Games. My only complaint? The souvenir shops were too congested.

    Fantastic!

by CornishDemelza on 5/15/16ESPN Wide World of Sports HP Field House - Kissimmee

Even though my team didn't win, that's not what it's about. The skill of all the players was amazing - the ability to turn the wheelchair 'on a sixpence', control the ball AND score baskets. They could easily take on able-bodied teams without a shadow of doubt.

    Exciting!

by CornishDemelza on 5/15/16ESPN Wide World of Sports HP Field House - Kissimmee

Very physical game! Such sportsmanship - when one player knocked over an opposing team player's wheelchair, they both embraced - very moving.

    Wonderful event!

by CEWalk on 5/15/16Champion Stadium at ESPN Wide World of Sports - Kissimmee

The Invictus Games opening ceremony was moving and inspiring. It was a wonderful celebration of the men and women who have put their lives on the line to protect freedom and the rights of others. The spirit of the wounded warriors is awesome. Prince Harry has started a wonderful event to support the wounded warriors and raise awareness of the sacrifices that are made by those in the armed forces, as well as, to reach out to others who may need help but have not yet come forward.

We had the very best time. The UK didn't disappoint at all and to be honest you just have to be very proud of all those boys. Simply the best! Bonus was Prince Harry, what a star and just a lovely man. We enjoyed every minute.

    Wheelchair Rugby was an honor

by Tpost on 5/15/16ESPN Wide World of Sports HP Field House - Kissimmee

Invictus Games themselves as amazing. We attended the Bronze Games. Star Expo Game and Gold Game. The venue was the perfect setting and all seats had a perfect view of the event. The players/Heros showed us that you never give up no matter what card the world throws you. These players had missing limbs and paraplegic all caused during military service. We took our teenagers to the event. They will never forget this experience.

    Invictus Games were Amazing

by GreatlyImpressedFan on 5/15/16Champion Stadium at ESPN Wide World of Sports - Kissimmee

Three cheers to Prince Harry and everyone who planned the Invictus Games and to the extraordinary athletes! I knew the games would be great, but they exceeded all of my expectations! All of us in the free world should be so grateful to these brave military people who defend our countries and work together to protect us. These athletes were the epitome of selfless individuals willing to do anything for their country and our freedoms. And even though they are affected physically or mentally by these wars, they rose to the occasion and overcame their health issues during these games and in their lives. They are an example for all of us to follow around the world. You can see that Prince Harry is so passionate about these games. It was his passion and his energy that made this happen; and thus, has changed so many people's lives for the better. I feel sure that Princess Di is looking down and is very, very proud of her son's accomplishment! Congrats to him and to everyone involved!!

What a celebration for our global military heroes!

by Ohmygouda on 5/15/16Champion Stadium at ESPN Wide World of Sports - Kissimmee

The night wasn't all about the performances. It was celebrating our global military heroes and the challenges they share and have overcome. This ceremony truly showcased that these games aren't about the medals... they were about supporting each other, lifting each other up and true sportsmanship... and for that... this ceremony was way more than I ever thought it would be. The overall ambiance of the stadium was filled with love and support for everyone. From a performance standpoint... Philip Phillips was incredible with just two acoustic guitars and an upright base. He's a true musician, songwriter and vocalist. One of my favorite performances of the evening. The Rascal Flatts were a perfect addition to the celebration and added incredible musical energy and extended the celebration by getting everyone on their feet. Prince Harry was truly inspirational with his closing remarks. He's truly genuine and cares for each and every competitor, family/friend and supporter of the Invictus games. I've truly been inspired to be a part of the organization that promotes our heroes, the true meaning of sportsmanship and overall love and support to all those involved.
