I had never seen The Nutcracker or any ballet. I thought it had good humor but was also absolutely beautiful at the same time. I really enjoyed the different ages throughout the entire show. Everyone was so talented, and the volunteers were fantastic as well. I couldn’t believe it was a 2 hour show, because it just flew by! It’s a definite must see, and I will be going to another show again soon.
Show was outstanding asusual. On a scale from 1-10 def gets 5 stars.
The dancing was superb! I loved the performance and look down to seeing it again next year. My only complaints are that latecomers were seated during the performance and not at ideal times. Is this always done at the Murat? Very rude and disrespectful. Also the sound of cans popping open was horrible. This is a ballet people. Can’t the bartenders open them when sold or a rule made that cans must be opened prior to entering the theatre? This does not reflect on the Indianapolis Ballet, but on the theatre. Hopefully these points will be taken into consideration in the future.
Took granddaughters to see nutcracker and we not only had great seats we absolutely had a great experience
It was really great, but someone should have announced the intermission. We thought it was over and had to ask a usher.
Nice venue. Someone was taking a video of the show and in their defense, at the beginning of the show, they said "no flash photography," so they thought no flash was okay. Well a worker told them not to record but they were talking loudly and disturbing everyone else. Next time, be discrete and lower your voice to not let everyone hear.
I take my kids to this ballet every year as a family tradition. It is always beautiful and never disappoints.
