congrats to all students, but judgment decision was worse.

by Ea on 10/31/23Lucas Oil Stadium - Indianapolis

Poor judgment decision, they made a mistake during the awards, they awarded position #10 as a #9 and then they called positions 9 to be awarded as a 10, Concord High school did a really good performance and was scored # 5, was the judges from the south decision, not based on great performance. Thanks

    ISSMA state marching band finals

by Jannie on 10/31/23Lucas Oil Stadium - Indianapolis

We found great comfortable seats for viewing all 10 bands compete. The other spectators around us were polite & respectful.

    High school Marching rocks

by Nana on 10/31/23Lucas Oil Stadium - Indianapolis

Great event but expensive especially since mostly families already paying band bills, instruments and uniforms then throw Tickets aster into it and event parking and its really expensive and no discounts for seniors.

    Class guidelines

by Just saying on 10/31/23Lucas Oil Stadium - Indianapolis

ISSMA: I feel that the band’s size should be the deciding factor as to which class they perform in; not the size of the school. It would mean a more even playing field for all those musicians. Otherwise The event was well organized.

    Band performances were awesome.

by LJ on 10/31/23Lucas Oil Stadium - Indianapolis

I enjoyed each band's performance. Each band gave their all. Unfortunately, the miscalculation of the two bands in 9th and 10th place put a damper on the entire event. I commend each of these two bands for their handling of this situation. I hope in the future greater care will be given to accuracy so as not to put any more bands through this ordeal.

    Generations of Marching Band

by Jim on 10/31/23Lucas Oil Stadium - Indianapolis

This season marked the 3 generation of marching band competitions for our family. My wife and I started back in 1970 and the tradition continues through our youngest grandchildren this year. It’s been 20 years since our kids were at the Hoosier Dome in Indy. This finals at Lucas was no disappointment. The band routines were more elaborate than ever. I was actually sitting on the edge of my seat for the Avon performance. It would have actually been worth the $50 admission and $20 parking just to see the open class A bands (had I been the one to pay for it, thanks daughters!) The pre competition meal at The Ole Spaghetti Factory (another family tradition) was icing on the cake- actually spumone!

    Fantastic

by Band Grandma on 10/31/23Lucas Oil Stadium - Indianapolis

All the bands were fantastic and entertaining. The kids worked hard and out did themselves. The facility was nice but did echo. North Green Brigade was Amazing! Congratulations to all the bands!!! I did feel the cost of admission and parking was a bit too high. Will be there again next year.
