R&b and neo-soul artist India.Arie musician, producer, singer and songwriter whose post-hip-hop urban blues and Motown sound has released five albums and sold over 10 million records worldwide. Born India Arie Simpson in October 1975, she garnering a lot of attention from her concert at the 1998 Lilith Fair tour and eventually signed to Motown Records. Her debut studio album Acoustic Soul was released in March 2001 and debuted at No. 10 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and No. 3 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, selling over three million copies worldwide, and earning seven Grammy Award nominations. She toured in support of Sade, playing shows for ticket holders across North America in 2011. Her platinum sophomore album Voyage to India came out in September 2002 and debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200, winning Grammys for Best R&B Album and Best Urban/Alternative Performance for the song Little Things. In 2006, she released her third studio album Testimony: Vol. 1, Life & Relationship, giving Arie her first No. 1 spot on the Billboard chart. Its follow-up, 2009’s Testimony: Vol. 2, Love & Politics, came out in February 2009, and won her the Best Urban/Alternative Performance Grammy Award for the track Pearls. She also won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals in 2011 for a cover of John Lennon’s Imagine with Jeff Beck, Herbie Hancock, Konono Nº1, Pink, Oumou Sangaré and Seal. Her fifth studio album Songversation was released in June 2013 and debuted at No. 7 with singles 6th Avenue and Cocoa Butter.

The experience was unlike ANY other I've truly ever experienced. I felt slighty under dressed due to the venue's breathtaking architecture to say the very least lol! Staff was friendly and gave good awesome direction to our seats given the fact the venue seems enormous. The orchestra was literally nothing less than TOP. OF. THE. LINE!! Lastly, I am India Aire's BIGGEST fan and this was the very first time i was able to lay my eyes on such an underrated STAR! I literally cried the entire show, i waited until it was quiet to yell "India you're the GOAT!" I hope she heard me. Listening to a voice like that can never be duplicated in this lifetime! Pairing India with the Symphony Center was an experience i will NEVER EVER forget in my entire life, flying to Nashville from Philadelphia was for this experience was quite simply a pivotal moment in my life!

The show was amazing! I left feeling like my soul got rejuvenated. She was charming, insightful, and has a beautiful voice. Her songs are well written and left me feeling empowered and able to take on all of life’s challenges. Can’t wait till she’s back in AZ
We have seen India Arie at least 4 times as a family of mom's and daughters and now daughter in-laws. India sends such a positive, real message that we love and live by. We are grateful that our daughters have grown up feeling the same way. We have been fortunate enough to meet her 3 of the 4 times and get photos of the girls with her each time, this year we also got to get in on the photos. We will cherish the memory of a great show on Sunday night, again with a strong positive message and a great feeling of strength, courage and wisdom!
I had such a wonderful time! When you see ppl from every walk of life and racial backgrounds vibing and having a great time you know the artist is just bomb!!!! I've been wanting to see her for years! After this show I would totally go see her again.
Her voice was incredible, her words were inspiring and the energy was felt throughout the entire area. A wonderful experience!
One of the main reasons I went to the concert was to hear her sing Steady Love and she DID NOT sing it. VERY disappointed!! Other than that, the concert was prey good.
To my now shame and embarrassment I had never heard of India Arie beforehand! Luckily for me my good friend Deja talked me into going to see her! She has great taste in music so I thought “Why Not?” I will experience something new! I had no idea that it would be such a beautiful, incredible, soul expanding, life enhancing, life awakening experience! She is over the top Phenomenal! So is her band! Her opening act was great too! I will see her again and again and again!!! Thank you for sharing your talent! I loved the show!!!
These card table chair seats were strapped together. There is no arm room or room to even move if someone sits next to you. So uncomfortable! Men were able to break the snap & pry them apart. We werothat lucky. Due to our discomfort we were unable to totally enjoy the show. We left early.
I loved India.Arie I feel she should have had her concert somewhere else at Spreckle theater or something like that. Everybody was standing all in the way and if you are short you couldn’t see the stage. I was very disappointed. So the five starts are for her.
India Arie is an incredible artist. Her style is so effortless. She embodies external and internal beauty. The venue was perfect. As the sun was setting over the ocean, her melodies rose to meet it. I will go see her whenever she is within a 200 mike radius.
I'm a long time fan of India's but this was my first time seeing her live. She definetly met all of my expectations. The venue was outside which was fine. The seating was soooo close to one another. I had to sit on the edge of my chair or stand in order to feel somewhat comfortable. The chairs were zip tied together so we couldn't adjust them. None of my complaint has to do with her performance. She was great.
I have been waiting years to see India Arie in concert, so when the opportunity came I did not hesitate. I was thrilled that there was a VIP, meet & greet option. Experiencing the soundcheck, having the chance to speak briefly with her, take the picture it was all a worthy investment (no pun intended.) The venue is so intimate and personal that although my seats were close, I feel everyone in the theater experienced the loving and connected vibe the concert generated and I left with my heart and soul filled with love for myself and for others. It was one of the best experiences of my life. *The only challenge was being misinformed by the person on the phone that the meet & greet event would take about an hour and there would be time between to leave and have dinner before the show... My dinner was popcorn and left twix...but India is worth it.
My only complaint. The seats were too tightly packed in. I saw Queen performed by Gary Mullen and the Works about a month prior and the seats were not so closely packed. Made it a little uncomfortable.
The energy of India Irie and the crowd she serves was different than what I've encountered at other concerts. I had the meet and greet VIP package and it was well worth it. This concert is a must see for anyone that wants to walk away from a concert feeling lighter, brighter and peaceful.
I first saw India Arie over 15 years ago. She has come full circle now, knows who she is an empowered woman and has an incredible presence on stage. I hope other women see her and feel her empowered essence flowing during her concert as she has a conversations and displays all the quotes during her show. AWESOME show!!
She put on a really good show even her opening act was excellent 💜💜💜
