A MUST-SEE Experience!!
by HarlemLivin on 9/23/22Sony Hall - New YorkAfter having been a fan of the band since the early 90's when I bought their Positivity, Tribes Scribes & Vibes and 100 Degrees & Rising albums, this was my very first opportunity to see them live (better late than never!) And what an experience that was! Bluey is the consummate band leader, a humble, natural story teller extraordinaire! From the onset of his band's magical performance, Bluey led us through the journey of his life, all while injecting insight, wisdom, messages of love and unity, and hope for the future. He clearly enjoys performing in NYC and NYC clearly enjoyed Incognito's presence here! The band was incredible, with no less than 14 performers (where do you see this anymore??) on stage, performing tight sets with effortless talent (the solos were off the chain!) As for the piece de resistance, Maysa blew us all away with her amazing, infectious, soulful and prodigious voice. To bear witness to this close to 30 yr partnership between her and Bluey culminate in such a unique fusion of talent was the cherry on top. Imagine, after playing non-stop for no less than 2 1/2 hours (unheard of in these times of Millenials offering barely more than 1 hour of lip-synched or band-less, auto-tuned performances), the 2 leaders, Bluey and Maysa STILL found time to stick around after the concert and graciously pose for photos, sign autographs, and indulge us with our various questions. I can't wait for their return, hopefully sooner than later! A MUST SEE!
