Loved Ina Garten stories and she’s funny! Found out a few new things about her!! I was not happy with her interviewer. There were lulls in the conversation and a few time repeated questions.

  • Ina was perfect! Venue was not

by Jill on 11/24/24Auditorium Theatre - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

Ina was perfect and we enjoyed listening to her. However the logistics and venue were horrible. We waited in line - with tickets in hand - for 30 minutes. We arrived at 7:05, thinking that was plenty of time to get in, get a glass of wine and get seated. We didn't get to our seats until after 7:35, missing the beginning and having to interrupt our row mates to get to our seats.

  • Ina up close

    by A fan on 11/24/24Auditorium Theatre - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

Ina is adorable and super engaging in person. We purchased tickets without really knowing what this event was, but excited to see Ina up close, bought the best tix available. Ina came onto the stage just after 7:30pm and left just before 9:00pm. Would have loved some more time with her for the price of our tix and maybe a demonstration. The interviewer did a nice job in Chicago, but would have loved someone a little more upbeat.

  • Needed (much) more Ina

by Helena on 11/14/22Kings Theatre - BrooklynRating: 2 out of 5

The Kings Theatre is an absolutely fabulous venue, and the crowd was very happy, excited and enthusiastic while waiting in line and getting seated before the event. But all that positivity quickly evaporated when we began to understand the format and imbalance of the show's execution. 95% of the crowd were avid Ina Garten fans, which is not unexpected as she is a New Yorker with a huge US fan base. Most of us knew of and liked Nigella Lawson but we paid our money and were there to see Ina. The show's content however was 95% Nigella. I am not sure whether this was the show's plan or just how the evening unfolded, but it was the reality. We spent the whole evening just waiting for Ina to take the reins away from Nigella, who dominated the entire conversation. It is surprising that more planning wasn't done in advance to ensure balance and that the producers didn't understand the composition of their audience. Ina clearly should have been the lead and Nigella the supporting contributor. Unfortunately, we left unfulfilled and disappointed.

  • Disappointed

by Liz on 11/13/22Kings Theatre - BrooklynRating: 1 out of 5

I went to see Ina speak, Nigella went on and on and on talking over her and no one was happy. People walked out, I would have but one in my group did not want to. Everyone was talking about how awful it was. Love the Theater though!

  • Waste of time

I knew there wasn’t going to be a cooking show but expected some cooking tips but got info on nothing really. I didn’t care if the their cooking show was scripted or not. Boring

  • Unorganized & questionable purpose

by Cookingwithsass on 11/13/22Kings Theatre - BrooklynRating: 2 out of 5

I know that the event was a “conversation”between two greatest cooks, however, the entire talk was unorganized to an extent which I lost sense of the purpose of the event. Very awkward, cringey moments from the conversation which may have been avoided if there was better structure to the “talk.”

  • Very disappointed

by RK on 11/13/22Kings Theatre - BrooklynRating: 1 out of 5

Nigella never gave Ina a chance to speak. Seemed like they never put time into deciding who would speak. Unfortunate that such a large audience got to hear so little about Ina.

  • Wanted more Ina

by bibi on 11/13/22Kings Theatre - BrooklynRating: 4 out of 5

Overall enjoyed but found Nigela to have rambled too often and for too long. Would have preferred a more balanced presentation with more from Ina.

  • Could have used a moderator

by Trevorja on 11/13/22Kings Theatre - BrooklynRating: 4 out of 5

Let me start by saying I really had a good time at this event. I loved seeing two icons in a good conversation together. My issue is that it was lopsided. Having a host or moderator could have helped keep both Ina and Nigella have a more even flow to the conversation.
