In certain serendipitous cases, a band’s name perfectly encapsulates their essence, and heavy metal rockers In This Moment are a case in point - the sheer power and immediacy Maria Brink’s vocals make it difficult to be anywhere else. Simultaneously vulnerable and snarling, Brink’s emotional growl is a focal point on 2012’s Blood, the band’s 4th – and most successful – album to date. Singles like “Blood” and “Whore” pulled no punches, landing the album at No. 1 on the Billboard Hard Rock chart and cementing Brink’s place as one of the dominant female voices in alternative metal. After forming in Albany in 2005, the band’s 2007 debut Beautiful Tragedy quickly made them a metal festival staple and the opening act of choice for bands like Megadeth and Rob Zombie. Their 3rd album, 2010’s A Star-Crossed Wasteland, was a crossover success, landing at No. 1 on the Independent Albums chart and spawning a hit with “The Promise”. On Tour in 2013, the band has been blowing ticket buyers away with their thundering live concert, pulling fans into the moment with Brink’s commanding presence.
Over the course of their career, In This Moment have played many famous venues to capacity, like Observatory North Park and House of Blues.
Great show! I would go see them anytime, anywhere.
Been a long time since I went to a concert. We had a good time. All 3 groups had great shows. Being up close to the groups was amazing. Actually being able to see them amazing. Ticketmaster is also amazing. Could not have gone without them. I will get my tickets from Ticketmaster again.
I came for the main event In This Moment but I was surprised by how good All Hale The Yeti & Devour the Day were too! They all put their heart into the show and still seem to have that hunger the fuels the soul!
First time seeing in this moment. Sort of reminds me of a female version of marilyn manson, very theatrical. The singer interacted with the crowd. Devour the day was good as well. There was another harder band that opened, I don't recall their name. Butcher babies canceled. The only thing I don't like about theatrical performances is that it slows down the show with set and costume changes. The song closer was awesome. The venue was ok, the floor was sticky, a large beer was $7.00. It was extremely hot in there.there is no charge for parking and the venue even has a shuttle van to take you to and from your hotel or home at no charge which is excellent. Had a very cool driver. You can see from just about any location at this venue.
What a sexy rock show! A bit too much smoke and fog for a small venue but wow! We NEVER got to see her face which was a downer but the show ROCKED it one of the best I`ve seen in 20 + years! Too bad my BBF drank a bit too much and I had to take her out half way through the show and stay with her so I missed the second half and after waiting so long it was a disappointment, but I will be back! Thank You ITM for rocking Ft Wayne you made it worth the long drive!
All the bands on the card were amazing. It was such a great show. I would highly recommend this show to anyone of my friends. I had a great time.
All the bands where great and as always Piere's is a great place to go for watching bands and having fun with friends and family.
In this moment was amazing!!! They put on an awesome show! Very entertaining and great crowd interaction. They sounded amazing. Love this band!!
I'm not sure what mindset goes in to having a really pretentious stage show for a rock band, but they definitely have it. You know that thing that happened to No Doubt, where the singer was becoming "the band" to the mainstream media? It seems like In This Moment is doing that, but to themselves, on purpose. The entire set consisted of what looked to be a music video set, except they were performing. There were fans and smoke blowing at the singer the entire time. The most pretentious moment came when she sat in a chair with smoke billowing out from the ground, and sang a ballad. The stage also went completely dark in between each song, while she stepped offstage, walked to the back, changed hats, and then came back out. Kind of like what happens for an encore, except after every song. The whole thing just felt... off. Oh, and the entire band's faces were covered up, and they were relegated to the shadows, because who really came to see a band, right? Ugh. I saw them back in 2010, and it definitely wasn't like this. I did, however, enjoy Devour The Day, which became the reason I was at this concert.
ITM put on a great show! Maria Brink sounded great and the band rocked! The lighting and set was good. A bit overkill on the fog. It obscured her too much at times.
The venue Revolution Live was awesome and the lineup that was with In ThIs Moment was beyond amazing!!
This was now the third time I've seen In This Moment and they kicked ASS !! From the opening song till the encore Blood they rocked the house. Marie sounded great and the stage and costume changes were awesome. They played to the audience and everyone had a great time. The venue Club Revolution in Ft. Lauderdale was a great place to see them. Catch them if you can !!!!
Butcher Babies--super high energy. first time seeing them and i liked them alot. 2 hot chicks. IN THIS MOMENT--my favorite band and i just love all their music, their show, their theatrics and everything about them. The show was amazing and excellent. I'd see them over and over and over.. Maria brink is beautiful.
In This Moment puts on amazing concerts with lots of theatrics, I thoroughly enjoyed the concert and I got a guitar pick! :) I would in a heartbeat see them again and I will next time they come to town, if u remotely like In This Moment go to one of their concerts!
This is the BEST show I've ever been to. Loved it! The theatrics of the performance made this show 100 times more enjoyable than what you would see with most other shows. And, seeing it in a small venue like Revolution was something I think was a rare opportunity. I was like 20 feet from the stage. In a festival (Mayhem, Warped Tour, etc.) situation, or a larger venue, it would be great, but it was just that much more special in this particular venue. Of the bands that played before ITM, I missed the first one or two, but saw Devour the Day and the Butcher Babies. Devour the Dat was VERY good, surprised me. I went and bought some of their songs off of itunes the next day. The Butcher Babies was really just pushing sex appeal - I don't care so much for the screamy-type songs, which is all they have.
I look forward to the next. They really brought it!
One of the best concerts I went to in a while! The stage performances and sets were out of this world, the vocals were just as good. I recommend this to any person in to rock. Seriously it was that good!
So far the best show of 2014, I would highly recommend this tour to all
Me and my date enjoyed the show, It was her metal show and she enjoyed the show
Maria performed one song. Took a break. Performed another song.. took a break.. performed one song.. took a break. Came back on stage took 10 mins stalling introducing the entire band and all other nonsense. Then the drummer played a 5-10 min solo. This was my first time seeing them live and I truly believe they only played about 8-9 songs within an hour and fifteen minutes. They didnt even play beautiful tragedy!! I've been to plenty of other shows in my lifetime, but I never experienced one where they stopped between every song!! You can tell the crowd was starting to become impatient. She performed fine. But overall i wasn't impressed.
