In certain serendipitous cases, a band’s name perfectly encapsulates their essence, and heavy metal rockers In This Moment are a case in point - the sheer power and immediacy Maria Brink’s vocals make it difficult to be anywhere else. Simultaneously vulnerable and snarling, Brink’s emotional growl is a focal point on 2012’s Blood, the band’s 4th – and most successful – album to date. Singles like “Blood” and “Whore” pulled no punches, landing the album at No. 1 on the Billboard Hard Rock chart and cementing Brink’s place as one of the dominant female voices in alternative metal. After forming in Albany in 2005, the band’s 2007 debut Beautiful Tragedy quickly made them a metal festival staple and the opening act of choice for bands like Megadeth and Rob Zombie. Their 3rd album, 2010’s A Star-Crossed Wasteland, was a crossover success, landing at No. 1 on the Independent Albums chart and spawning a hit with “The Promise”. On Tour in 2013, the band has been blowing ticket buyers away with their thundering live concert, pulling fans into the moment with Brink’s commanding presence.
Over the course of their career, In This Moment have played many famous venues to capacity, like Observatory North Park and House of Blues.
What great venue! It was clean and they even gave you cups of water to keep you hydrated! The show was fantastic and had a great electic group of opening acts. Would definitely go back to see a show here again!
The doors opened an hour late due to " sound check issues" standing in line for an extra hour in 30 degree weather is seriously not acceptable. Whatever sound check issues were definitely not fixed the bass levels were way to high sloppy and where clipping. Her vocals were the hardest thing to hear completely drowned out by the drums and bass guitar levels being too high. When they played "closer" by NIN the beats ran together so much the song was nearly unrecognizable. Now visually the show was great and was a pleasure on the eyes. Now every one has there off days at work so I would definitely see them again but this was not a good show overall.
This was my first show for these guys. And to say the least, it was a let down. Way too much theatrics. Maria left the stage after every song to change. Lip sync was obvious. The drummer was shoved in the back corner where you could hardly see him. Our tickets were general admission. But the venue doesn't have a floor. So it was first come first serve for seats. Which in my opinion is as retarded as it gets for a metal show. Then to top it off, they would not allow us to sit in the balcony to get a better view. What was the point of general admission? Why not just give us seat choices? All in all the show was a big let down in my eyes.
In This Moment gave a professional, high quality, energizing performance, and Rockford's Coronado Performing Arts Center was the perfect venue!

The night started off on a slower note, however it quickly sped up. As soon as In This Moment took the stage I knew it wasn't like any of their other shows I had been to. I've seen this band 5 times now and every time they played they got better. This was no exception! The theatrics of the show were amazing and Maria's voice was loud and clear. I could not have asked for a better show. The only thing I wish is that they played some of their older stuff, however it was not a huge concern of mine. If you want an amazing show with a great band, this is the one for you!
By far one of the coolest concerts I've seen. The openers were pretty good too. Loved every second of it and would definitely see them again very soon.
I would definatly recommend any In This Moment concert goer to attend. They were great and so was Starset and 3 Pill Morning. great stage show and great place to have it. Coranado definatly added to the event in a positive way.
In This Moment is at their best with a nice mix between their last album "Blood" and their newest album "Black Widow." The whole show flows while leaving you aching for more.
We saw In This Moment back in 2010 when they opened for the Music As A Weapon tour with Korn, Sevendust, and Disturbed, and even then Maria's performance was crappy. She can't sing (I am fairly certain she lip-synched) and she disappeared after every song for a wardrobe change and set change. I disliked that it was all about HER. The guys (Chris, Randy, Tom, and Travis) were excellent and shouldn't be subjugated to working with this Lady Gaga wanna-be with the horrible voice. She had two masked females in skintight bodysuits dancing around and gyrating and being rather irritating and distracting. There really was no purpose to them other than to try and bring more focus on Maria. If it weren't for the opening acts, this entire night would've been a scrub. She completely ruined Nine Inch Nails' "Closer" as well, which is one of the few NIN songs I actually liked. All in all, a horrible performance- the constant costume changes and the "this is all about ME" attitude about each set were horribly off-putting. I prefer bands that are presented as a whole by their lead singers.
She is an amazing performer!!! 12 foot ninja sucked though
This show was pretty epic, no question about it, ITM is quickly becoming one of my favorite current bands because of their amazing music mixed with their fantastic live shows!!!
Went mainly to see Starset and was not disappointed. Twelve Foot Ninja surprised me and definetly turned a new ear. In This Moment was disappointing with the show being centered on Maria (lead singer).
Bought VIP tix. Waited in line for almost an hour to see them for 2 seconds. Long wait, but it was worth it. Just wish it wouldn't have been such a long wait. Also, didn't care for the other 3 bands that played... but In This Moment made it all worth it. They are awesome!
What is show is what I can say!!! Insanely Stunning. The music did not disappoint and the atmosphere was awesome!!! The best show I have been too!!!! In This Moment is AMAZING!!!
The opening acts were fantastic. In This Moment's show was just amazing! It was my first time seeing them live and I'm glad I went. Maria interacted with her friends on many levels including a sing-along and handed out her "Whore" hat, bloodied roses and setlists at the end of the show. I would definitely see them again!
Great show for a great price, first time a sow them
Stuck outside an extra hour because they were 'setting up the stage'. You'd think they would know how to do that by now and not keep people standing outside an hour past 'doors open'. 3PillMorning were decent. Not something I'd listen to but they were entertaining and put on a good show. Both starset and 12 foot ninja were bad. The latter especially so. In this moment was alright. My second time seeing them (first was much better). I was prepared for the constant stage/wardrobe changes but it was nonetheless distracting and gave the entire performance no flow. Vocals were drowned out at times and I swear Maria messed up the lyrics at several points. I was excited to see 'Metallica Medley' on the setlist but was vastly disappointed. As a big metallica fan, I only recognized one song and I had expected Maria to sing during it, she didn't. Cut the medley, drum solo, annoyingly long band introductions, and 2-3 min gaps between songs and there could of been another 8-10 songs in the show. Because of the delays earlier, we were shorted one song compared to previous shows on the tour (Dirty Pretty). I like the band, but this show just didn't cut it. Visuals were okay but the setlist was so-so and the length was poor. I expected better.
In This Moment has brought back theatrical concerts. Great show.
