About

In certain serendipitous cases, a band’s name perfectly encapsulates their essence, and heavy metal rockers In This Moment are a case in point - the sheer power and immediacy Maria Brink’s vocals make it difficult to be anywhere else. Simultaneously vulnerable and snarling, Brink’s emotional growl is a focal point on 2012’s Blood, the band’s 4th – and most successful – album to date. Singles like “Blood” and “Whore” pulled no punches, landing the album at No. 1 on the Billboard Hard Rock chart and cementing Brink’s place as one of the dominant female voices in alternative metal. After forming in Albany in 2005, the band’s 2007 debut Beautiful Tragedy quickly made them a metal festival staple and the opening act of choice for bands like Megadeth and Rob Zombie. Their 3rd album, 2010’s A Star-Crossed Wasteland, was a crossover success, landing at No. 1 on the Independent Albums chart and spawning a hit with “The Promise”. On Tour in 2013, the band has been blowing ticket buyers away with their thundering live concert, pulling fans into the moment with Brink’s commanding presence.

Over the course of their career, In This Moment have played many famous venues to capacity, like Observatory North Park and House of Blues.

In This Moment is absolutely amazing live!

    by Medic200477 on 11/24/14STAGE AE - Pittsburgh

This was definitely an awesome show. Three Pill Morning opened the show with amazing intensity and that momentum went into Twelve Foot Ninja's set. I, personally, found Starset to be out of place, with their psuedo-political message. All three of these bands were a great warm-up for the main act. In This Moment's set set-up time seemed a bit long, but these guys(and Maria) have never didsappointed me yet. This was my fourth time seeing them and they delivered again. They have become one of my favorite live acts.

Black Widow Tour Was Beyond Amazing

by TaraJMo on 11/24/14STAGE AE - Pittsburgh

Not often will you get the perfect line up. However these four bands have the monopoly on perfection. There was no lag. Every band was point on.

    Glad to finally see ITM

by jndelou on 11/24/14STAGE AE - Pittsburgh

3 pill morning was pretty good. 12 foot ninja---couldn't get into it, like a wannabe korn and sublime and bob marley mix. so odd. starset was different, but after 3 songs I got the idea. I just didn't love waiting through all that when a typical show only has 2 bands at the max, and then waiting for the sets to come up for each band took forever. anyway...on to ITM.... they were pretty good! She butchered into the light, I couldn't see why she was moving like that to that song or why she changed a serious beautiful song into a weird sexy kind of song? But every other song rocked. Loved her opening with sick like me, sex metal Barbie was my favorite....was so excited to see her do the closer cover, and of course whore and blood as encore. she put on a fun show!

    In this Moment

Maria and her crew were outstanding as usual! Loved the new props and consistency with which they all perform. Just wished they played more songs from the new album.

    Awesome!

by mwhit2020 on 11/21/14Theatre of Living Arts - Philadelphia

In This Moment and their front woman, Maria Brink, put on a great show. They played several songs from the Blood album and several of their new songs from Black Widow. The songs are powerful and the performance theatrical. They also give you your money's worth playing over 2 hours. They have hit their stride and found their sound while they continue to evolve into one of the most unique bands out there.

    so many problems

by darkdays on 11/20/14The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver Spring

The doors opened an hour late due to " sound check issues" standing in line for an extra hour in 30 degree weather is seriously not acceptable. Whatever sound check issues were definitely not fixed the bass levels were way to high sloppy and where clipping. Her vocals were the hardest thing to hear completely drowned out by the drums and bass guitar levels being too high. When they played "closer" by NIN the beats ran together so much the song was nearly unrecognizable. Now visually the show was great and was a pleasure on the eyes. Now every one has there off days at work so I would definitely see them again but this was not a good show overall.

In This Moment was a disappointment.

by Spider21 on 11/18/14Coronado Performing Arts Center - Rockford

This was my first show for these guys. And to say the least, it was a let down. Way too much theatrics. Maria left the stage after every song to change. Lip sync was obvious. The drummer was shoved in the back corner where you could hardly see him. Our tickets were general admission. But the venue doesn't have a floor. So it was first come first serve for seats. Which in my opinion is as retarded as it gets for a metal show. Then to top it off, they would not allow us to sit in the balcony to get a better view. What was the point of general admission? Why not just give us seat choices? All in all the show was a big let down in my eyes.

One of the best shows I've ever been to

by Mitchell94 on 11/17/14Coronado Performing Arts Center - Rockford

The night started off on a slower note, however it quickly sped up. As soon as In This Moment took the stage I knew it wasn't like any of their other shows I had been to. I've seen this band 5 times now and every time they played they got better. This was no exception! The theatrics of the show were amazing and Maria's voice was loud and clear. I could not have asked for a better show. The only thing I wish is that they played some of their older stuff, however it was not a huge concern of mine. If you want an amazing show with a great band, this is the one for you!

By far one of the coolest concerts I've seen. The openers were pretty good too. Loved every second of it and would definitely see them again very soon.

    ITM at their best

by ITMfan7 on 11/17/14Coronado Performing Arts Center - Rockford

In This Moment is at their best with a nice mix between their last album "Blood" and their newest album "Black Widow." The whole show flows while leaving you aching for more.

    She Still Sucks

by DragonsVixen on 11/17/14Coronado Performing Arts Center - Rockford

We saw In This Moment back in 2010 when they opened for the Music As A Weapon tour with Korn, Sevendust, and Disturbed, and even then Maria's performance was crappy. She can't sing (I am fairly certain she lip-synched) and she disappeared after every song for a wardrobe change and set change. I disliked that it was all about HER. The guys (Chris, Randy, Tom, and Travis) were excellent and shouldn't be subjugated to working with this Lady Gaga wanna-be with the horrible voice. She had two masked females in skintight bodysuits dancing around and gyrating and being rather irritating and distracting. There really was no purpose to them other than to try and bring more focus on Maria. If it weren't for the opening acts, this entire night would've been a scrub. She completely ruined Nine Inch Nails' "Closer" as well, which is one of the few NIN songs I actually liked. All in all, a horrible performance- the constant costume changes and the "this is all about ME" attitude about each set were horribly off-putting. I prefer bands that are presented as a whole by their lead singers.
