About

In certain serendipitous cases, a band’s name perfectly encapsulates their essence, and heavy metal rockers In This Moment are a case in point - the sheer power and immediacy Maria Brink’s vocals make it difficult to be anywhere else. Simultaneously vulnerable and snarling, Brink’s emotional growl is a focal point on 2012’s Blood, the band’s 4th – and most successful – album to date. Singles like “Blood” and “Whore” pulled no punches, landing the album at No. 1 on the Billboard Hard Rock chart and cementing Brink’s place as one of the dominant female voices in alternative metal. After forming in Albany in 2005, the band’s 2007 debut Beautiful Tragedy quickly made them a metal festival staple and the opening act of choice for bands like Megadeth and Rob Zombie. Their 3rd album, 2010’s A Star-Crossed Wasteland, was a crossover success, landing at No. 1 on the Independent Albums chart and spawning a hit with “The Promise”. On Tour in 2013, the band has been blowing ticket buyers away with their thundering live concert, pulling fans into the moment with Brink’s commanding presence.

Over the course of their career, In This Moment have played many famous venues to capacity, like Observatory North Park and House of Blues.

In This Moment is pure raw artistic talent!!

by SusanD22 on 12/2/147 Flags Event Center - Clive

The show has 3 opening bands who are amazing..each brought the crowd energy to a surge and got everyone hyped for In This Moment. As the intro began and the banner dropped, it was non stop entertainment. For the small fee to see 4 killer bands you couldn't pack more music into an event. Maria's vocals, voice range and stage presences was truly breathtaking. Chris and Randy riffs on the guitars were killer, Travis was all hard core bass and Tom beat the skins with all mighty power. Less we forget the blood girl dancers and Bianca, all beautiful women. I will definitely keep an eye out for when any of these bands come within a decent driving distance and will pay again to see them. No one could pick up will call tickets or VIP passes as email stated. Venue disorganized and unprepared from employees to security. Even camera disagreement with security.

IN THIS MOMENT IS METAL INFUSED WITH EXTRAVAGANZA!

    by ChefMichael57 on 11/27/14SHERMAN THEATER - STROUDSBURG

First off let me say a few words about the venue. The SHERMAN THEATER has some obvious advantages- the venue is not in a big city like Philly or NYC which between them house the majority of premium live music venues. Consequently no big city traffic issues or 25-50$ parking fees. I parked on the street for free about 100 yards from the theater also the Sherman has been booking serious talent and they keep getting better. This was my third show at the Sherman in a year and all would be classified as hard rock yet the energy of the crowd is relatively docile which i think is a negative. put the same show at THE STARLAND BALLROOM and bodies would have been floating in to the stage while I would be struggling to stay on my feet etc etc. I had seen the opening act 3 PILL MORNING back in Feb opening for BUCKCHERRY and i was very impressed with their energy, stage presence and the charismatic style of their frontman JEFF STEBBINS. Now 9 months later they were even better and i could see a new found confidence starting to build in the band. Watch for 3 PILL to blow up in the next 8- 15 months STARSET WAS A DISSAPOINTMENT- the whole space theme was a distraction and turn off! Get rid of the space helmets and the absurd giant computer screen please! TWELVE FOOT NINJA was good! MARIA BRINK and IN THIS MOMENT brought a level of showmanship to this metal show that was an actual EXTRAVAGANZA! Very impressive. BRINK SEEMS TO BE POSITIONING HERSELF AS THE LADY GAGA OF METAL- and doing a kick ass job!

    Disappointed

by naturescarpet on 11/27/14Sherman Theater - Stroudsburg

The bands were good but the wait time was unbearable. The first two bands went as usual, one played and once they were done the next band started within 15 minutes. The problem started after the second band played. We waited 30 minutes for the third band to play. By the time the third band finished it was 9:30pm and we had already been standing for 2.5 hours. We waited another 45 minutes for the headliner to start but after 45 minutes we got tired of waiting and just left. I've been to a lot of concerts but none that had me standing around on a sloped, concrete floor waiting for almost 2 hours of my night. I was extremely excited to see In This Moment for the first time but standing for 3 hours with nearly 2 of it spent waiting is ridiculous.

    Pure fun and entertainment

    by majere616 on 11/26/14Sherman Theater - Stroudsburg

What a cool show... it was over the top, and just amazing! Maria can sing anything... and the band is really tight! The stage show itself is everything you could hope for. The only complaint is that they don't play much of the older stuff... but what they do play is awesome!

    Simply Goddess

by WilliamRose on 11/26/14Freedom Hall / Lancaster Co. Convention Center - Lancaster

As a ITM die hard fan I've been to this show several times. Their concerts are excellent as always. It takes a while before the show because their stage set up is complicated. And Maria changes her outfit and props for every song so each song is a unique, independent show.

Great Show and Venuse, Sound lacking

    by Fireboy153 on 11/26/14Sherman Theater - Stroudsburg

Great Show and Venue, Sound lacking. Street parking was a nice and free (after6) option. Town looked nice and was clean, same with the venue. Doors opened late as always. All 4 bands were different, and offered good stage show. Lighting was ok too, however vocals were very low, we could barely hear the words! Over all goo stuff!

It was a really good concert, only bad things were that it got realllly hot, and the main band took over an hour to come out, which was somewhat irritating. but in this moment was over all a really good show

    Incredible mix of musical talent!!

by Primalist on 11/26/14Freedom Hall / Lancaster Co. Convention Center - Lancaster

First concert I have been to where I would recommend getting there early to experience the opening bands. All of them were great! Some diffrent sounds than what I expected being that the were opening for In This Moment who is the reason I was going to this show, but glad I heard them, will expand my horizons on up and coming bands! The main show was everything I hoped it would be - loud and hard with sweet theatrics . Almost like I was in one of their videos! Awesome!!

In this moment had some kind of issue and we waited over an hour. Dirty pretty, my favorite, was cut from set list. Otherwise it was amazing! Minus the guy hitting everyone and pushing people for taking pictures.

    Great Show

by NettandErn on 11/25/14Sherman Theater - Stroudsburg

Opening band 3 Pill Morning was absolutely awesome. After they played we immediately bought their cd, met them and had them sign it and got a picture with them. Great bunch of guys and I highly recommend you purchase the cd. The other 2 opening bands we could have done without. In This Moment show was great. They had a few technical problems in the beginning but worked it out and put on a GREAT show!!

In This Moment was a great show!

    by Shaugh69 on 11/25/14Sherman Theater - Stroudsburg

11/22/14: In This Moment at the Sherman Theater, Stroudsburg PA. Having released 'Black Widow' just days before, the setlist contained several songs from the new album. The sound was pretty good for an old venue like the Sherman. There did seem to be a long wait after the last opening act... probably 45 minutes. Lead Singer Maria Brink is a metal goddess... she is the ringleader but the band is a top notch metal band. All the players are very good and they proved that during their solos. Overall the show is very polished and the stagehands change the set accordingly in between songs while Maria goes and changes outfits for the next song so there is a break between songs. There was a problem before Black Widow so Maria came out and talked to the crowd while it was being repaired. This is not a show for the faint hearted. It was a full on tour de force. There was a very good light show and a lot of fog. The Blood girls helped with the stage production and even the stagehands were dressed for the part. While not quite Alice Cooper or Kiss, this was definitely not a band just showing up in jeans and a T shirt. It was a show! I enjoyed myself thoroughly as did most of the crowd.... I'd go see them again.
