  • This year was not it

by Fran on 8/12/25Parc Jean Drapeau - MontrealRating: 2 out of 5

Entering the site was easy, thank you. It was very hot but a very nice day filled with people. The main stage was no nice. Way too big, trash everywhere, music was difficult. I therefore stayed at the middle stage. The music for me this year was not there. I still had a good time with friends and that counts a lot. But next year I'll pay more attention to the set list. ...maybe I'm getting too old for this...it's possible :-)

  • Overall good

Good set time organisation BUT *** PLEASE STOP SPRAYING WATER IN THE CROWD. No one likes it. Use cooling mist cannon instead.

  • Fun but lacked important services

by Cassidy on 8/12/25Parc Jean Drapeau - MontrealRating: 3 out of 5

Event was fun, but some key services were missing. When needing a paramedic for an attendee, several vendors and security did not know where we could find first aid. There should be clear signage or bright red balloons in the air so anybody could find them. The bathrooms did not have soap or sanitizer to clean hands. Bottlenecking at the festival was pretty bad, main roadways were at a full stop. Also, front gate security would not allow the bottle caps for reusable empty water bottles, which defeats the purpose of staying hydrated and keeping water on hand. The music and esthetics were good but serious improvements to be made for the quality and well being of attendees.

  • Good and bad

by abs on 10/9/24Rating: 3 out of 5

The headliners (DJ Snake, Zedd and Tiesto) were fantastic. I appreciated that there were water refill stations and the food trucks were great. However, I felt like the environment wasn't the best. There were very drunk people getting mad for no reason while standing in the crowds listening to the music (especially later at night)- I was standing next to a woman who was yelling at me for no reason and a couple of men got in a brawl near me. In addition, people shoved others rudely while trying to get past people in the crowds. It was definitely NOT a family-friendly event and I felt bad for the young children I did see there. Future events should have events and areas for children and families to hang out. I know this is impossible to enforce but I also felt as a female like I was an object to be stared at given how a lot of people dressed (most men were fully clothed but most women were wearing very skimpy clothing). Some men aggressively attempted to dance with me too. Just want to give anyone who is considering going to be aware of these things. I love EDM and I was hoping to be able to have a great time but honestly, some of these other things detracted from my experience even though the music was great.

  • Amazing festival

    by Bi3abboudz on 8/16/24Parc Jean Drapeau - MontrealRating: 5 out of 5

I loved every second of my experience in Ilesonique. Management, availability, restrooms... everything was great. The only negative thing is that we were able to hear music from other stages from Mirage. Thanks for the team and everyone

  • Awesome festival!

by Flo on 8/16/24Parc Jean Drapeau - MontrealRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing festival but unfortunately just way too short for so much fun! Organization was great and everything worked very well. Great artists and line ups and all the stages were super fun. Food and drinks were expensive but for a festival still acceptable. I had an amazing time and would recommend it to anyone!

  • good job

by marie on 8/14/24Parc Jean Drapeau - MontrealRating: 5 out of 5

hello, I have been to ilesoniq since the first one 10 years ago and I have to say that this one was the best edition so far. The crowd management was just amazing, for the first time at ile soniq I was not always disturb by people coming in or out of the crowd. I never had so much space to dance and enjoy the show. Ilesoniq was able to remove the anxiety-provoking over-crowd this year with great succes so I big thank you for that.

  • Ile SONIQ was Mid

by Sean on 8/13/24Parc Jean Drapeau - MontrealRating: 2 out of 5

Sound could have been louder and the rain sucked and the parking is so far but it was nice to be back as my last full weekend there was in 2019 and last time I was there was for the X b2b Illenium set in 2022 it used to be a much bigger festival and I don’t know what happened. Bring me back to 2019!

  • It was AMAZING!!!

    by DokerPr0 on 8/13/24Parc Jean Drapeau - MontrealRating: 5 out of 5

It was just super. I was very happy to attend Ilesoniq. I hope to be there next time. Many thanks to everyone for such a great atmosphere and organization. !

  • Bring more melodic/prog techno!!

by Tony on 8/13/24Parc Jean Drapeau - MontrealRating: 4 out of 5

We were only here for Saturday and had a great time at the Mirage scene with Miss Monique, Anna and Ben Böhmer. However we thought there were not enough artists of this genre and way too much dubstep for our taste.

  • Too expensive low variety

by Mar on 8/13/24Parc Jean Drapeau - MontrealRating: 1 out of 5

It could have a bigger variety of electronic music such as progtrance, progminimal, and big names such as Astrix. There was too much dubstep and techno. The crowd is very young. Drinks are expensive and food limited. Also the sound was not loud enough. Overall I didn’t have a good experience.

  • excellent

It was insane, I really enjoy it. So happy to see Timmy trumpets. The best moment of summer!!

  • Mind Blown

by Thanatu on 8/13/24Parc Jean Drapeau - MontrealRating: 5 out of 5

What a perfect event, great artists, amazing group, picturesk views, no issues going to bathroom, getting food, apparel, navigating etc. 10/10 recommend.

  • The VIP Diamond overpriced with few extras

    by Nick8Nak on 8/13/24Parc Jean Drapeau - MontrealRating: 2 out of 5

When dropping $710 for 2 days on 1 ticket, I expected there to be more offered for the Diamond package. There was only grey Goose bottle service, I couldn't buy grey Goose shots at the bar. There wasn't patron or other premium bottles, either. I was hoping the $200 "Front Stage Access"meant we could go to the front of the stage. No. It was only access to the front rail access. It was nice to have space to dance at that front rail access area, but the "Front Stage"should mean accessing the front stage, like guests could go on the stage to see from the stage. The Diamond Terrance was not included in my Diamond package. It felt like a rip off to only have few drink options in VIP. Every other VIP experience I had elsewhere meant that drinks were top shelf, there was better access to all terraces, and it was only the main stage with any VIP areas at all. The other 2 stages had no VIP viewing or special areas for VIP paying guests. Ilesoniq needs to do better next time. I've paid less for VIP, sometimes only $50 more than the regular ticket, and received more. Nobody was cleaning the toilets either, so the VIP Gold bathroom smelled like pee and urine by day 2. It was not what I expected at all. The DJ sets were good on the main stage and Amaxzing at the dubstep stage. I loved when the DJs like Subrtonics, Level Up, Loud Luxury, Zedd and Tiesto dropped new mixes. Subtroincs and Tiestos acts were great. I saw Loud Luxury and Zedd back in 2013 when they were just starting out and it was mindblowing to see them perform again 11 years later as a headlining act on the main stage of ileoniq. I liked hearing each DJs different renditions of songs like Satisfaction by Tiesto and Perfect (Exceeder) by David Guetta, very cool to hear dubstep and house versions being played at the same festivals by different DJs.

  • Amazing experience

by Jen on 8/13/24Parc Jean Drapeau - MontrealRating: 5 out of 5

We flew in from Minnesota because we know Virtual Riot from Slam Academy and this festival was beyond amazing! Transportation on the metro, food vendors, drinks, and atmosphere were great and the logistics of the festival were executed professionally. Only complaint was the limited merch for some of the artists! Would have liked to have more options. Merci Montreal!
