ilani Wine & Food Fest Tickets

I hope this become an annual event. I'd say 75% of the food and wine was pretty good to good.

Overall this was a nice event, and we had a good time. The best part was the selection of wines. I was hoping it wouldn't be just Washington wines and it wasn't. They had Washington, Oregon, California and international wines, and they had some quality selections. The food, on the other hand, was a little lacking. There were some good food items to partake in, but there wasn't enough variety. There really should have been more restaurants to choose from. The number was very limited. After standing for 3 hours, my feet were tired, and there was no place to sit. There was an area with couches which was empty, but it was reserved for only people in the players club. Then there were a very small number of tables and chairs, and they were all full. I ended up sitting on the floor for a while, and I didn't appreciate it. The cooking demos were way too loud. It should have been toned down to a more normal volume. When we were near it, we had to scream at each other just to be heard. I would have preferred some nice music over the annoyingly loud talking. It wouldn't take much to make this a truly wonderful event. Just a few tweaks.

On Froday night my sister, mom and I went to the 1st Food & Wine Festival at Ilani and met some friends we had a fun time. The venue was well laid out and large so even though many people there didnt feel to crowded. Great selection of vendors, especially spirit vendors and wineries on that day there were alot of Ilina employees presenting and pouring with very little product literature so getting questions about many items was limited. Was surprised to be charged for all food samples, the name implied it would be included and with the number of alcohol vendors would have been prudent on casino's part to have some small bite options. However we bought the tokens, and had some great food after all. Look forward to next year.

Paid a lot of money for so little. The title was “Wine & Food Festival”, so one would think you could sample some food, NOT you had to pay more money in order to taste anything. Next time state that!
