About
Il Divo, the internationally renowned classical crossover quartet, were formed in the U.K. by television personality and veteran record executive Simon Cowell in 2004. The original lineup reflected the group’s boundless inspirations and universal appeal, with each member hailing from a different country: tenor David Miller from the United States, tenor Urs Bühler from Switzerland, baritone Sébastien Izambard from France, and the late baritone Carlos Marín from Spain. Starting with their 2004 self-titled debut album, Il Divo have released five Top 10 albums and sold over 30 million records worldwide. 2005’s Ancora became Il Divo’s first No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and their 2009 world tour earned the group the Billboard Breakthrough Award for making Billboard Boxscore’s top tour recap for the first time in their career. Over two decades, the quartet have experimented with a blend of opera and pop, reinventing standards from Motown to Christmas classics and collaborating with Celine Dion, Toni Braxton, Leona Lewis, and more. Following the loss of Marín in December 2021, in 2023, American baritone Steven LaBrie became a full-time member.

Okay, the demographics may have indicated deaf old ears, but I wanted the sound to be turned down about ten notches. It sounded so much better with my fingers in my ears - I could even understand what they were saying then. Somebody must have gotten the word out b/c the second act was somewhat less loud, though it gained in decibels during the evening. The graphics display at backstage was inscrutable most of the time, but I really enjoyed the dancing lady in the hoop skirt form. Light show repetitive but very enjoyable, loved the way it lit the audience from time to time. Canned dialogue was apparent - oh who cares, the guys are so good-looking!

These gentleman entertain their audience, have the most spectacular voices and genuinely enjoy what they do. Plus seeing them in the Fabulous Fox Theater in Atlanta was a definite plus.

It is rare that you attend a concert and find the act to be even better in person than they are on cd, dvd, or television. They were absolutely fantastic. Not only are each of the four men incredibly talented and personable on stage, but the stage set up with the screen in back was fascinating. Whoever did the filmwork did a wonderful job. I enjoyed watching it almost as much as them. Even the orchestra was great. The sound system was incredible. I just can not say enough about it. We drove 180 miles to the concert and then back home and I would do it again in a minute.

The show was everything I had expected plus! I would highly recommend them to anyone who truly enjoys good vocals and classic music!

This was my 3rd Il Divo concert and they are as fresh and talented and amazing as ever! If they are ever in your area...make every effort to see them! Five years and going strong!
