    Il Divo sang beautifully!

by Lokato on 11/12/13Marquis Theatre - New York

I was actually disappointed in this performance of Il Divo. I thought it was very flat. The staging in my opinion was not good. The group spent most of their time singing in fog!! While the harmonies are always beautiful and the song choices were good, the group seemed distant and just going through the motions. I have been to a few of their performances and at each one the 4 members of Il Divo were more engaging and involved with the audience. There was much more interaction with the audience. They brought you into the music and they actually performed. They didn't just stand there and sing. This time there just stood there and sang. There was no encore either. The Playbill said last song to be My Way and then encore. Instead they sang My Way as the encore. In additon, there were problems with the curtain calls. They left Heather Headley standing there behind a closed curtain and finally lifted it as most of the audience was leaving. It seemed as though at that time the music cues were wrong or non-existent also. Overall, at $252/seat, it was VERY disappointing. Sorry

by 55seashell on 11/11/13Marquis Theatre - New York

I was expecting a great concert and was not disappointed. I sat spellbound in my seat, listening to the beautiful music of the evening. The orchestra was fantastic. The guys looked fantastic. Heather Headley was an added bonus.

Excellent concert! Heather Headley complimented the men's voices when she accompanied them. Theater accommodations were excellent.

It is not that their singing is so powerful but they are so humble and such gentlemen. Love the tuxes and style. It nice to someone just standing and singing. The details behind the scenes must be out of sight. Very well organized very polite staff I was very impress with the meet and greet

by Codolly on 11/11/13Marquis Theatre - New York

They were just fabulous! I loved them. I can't wait to see them again. I would like to see them do more songs in English though, but they were fantastic.

    Il Divo are fabulous

by Drusus on 11/11/13Marquis Theatre - New York

What great musical entertainment- I could understand every word they were singing and the blending of their great voices brought a facet to the songs that one has not heard before.

The Good, The Bad and the Ugly

by Cherryhead on 11/11/13Marquis Theatre - New York

I have extremely mixed emotions about this performance. I loved and hated parts of it. I am a huge fan of both Il Divo and Broadway, so my expectations were extremely high. The Good Some songs ("Some Enchanted Evening", "Don't Cry for Me Argentina", "Memory"-with Heather Headley, "Somewhere") were extremely well done and allowed each of the men (and woman) to showcase their individual voices as well as the blending of their voices. The Bad They started 15 minutes late and the whole concert felt rushed. Depending on where you sat, you couldn't see all of the performers. During the second act, it was difficult to see Sebastian during one of the first songs. The use of lighting in the audience was also annoying because we then could not see their performance after being blinded. Honestly, I'm not sure if I will see Il Divo again. I loved parts of their performance, not the entire thing. I spent a lot of money on my seat, I had high hopes and expectations...and ultimately I was disappointed. The Ugly Other songs ("Music of the Night" and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow") were horrible. When they sang "Music of the Night", it became a competition to see who could hit those high notes. We lost Heather Headley's lovely voice in the song more than once, which was unfortunate.

by Heybean on 11/11/13Marquis Theatre - New York

Nothing can top Il divo singing broadway on Broadwayu!!! Wish there was a little less Heather Headley as I felt she was promoting her show The Bodyguard. If Il Divo sang New York,New York that would have been the ultimate!!!

Il Divo - a Musical Affair

by Bernzy on 11/11/13Marquis Theatre - New York

I was glad I saw this great concert. Not only was it great a medley of voices but good looking group as well. I didn't want it to end as they brought me back in time, remembering all these Broadway musicals.

Il Divo - A Musical Affair was brilliant

by DLDP on 11/11/13Marquis Theatre - New York

The production was outstanding. I especially liked the backgrounds used. All of the arrangements were excellent. Each member of Il Divo was in great voice. Ms. Headly was also outstanding and added greatly to the overall show.

It was an excellent show. My husband and I loved the theme of Broadway show tunes. We bought the CD and listened to it on the way home. We would definitely see them again.

    Spectacular!

by Laneroy on 11/11/13Marquis Theatre - New York

This was by far one of the best shows we have ever seen. The voices were fantastic and after each song you wanted to stand and cheer. The guest artist was wonderful, also. Wish the show could have gone on all night. Just couldn't get enough. Amazing!!!!

Il Divo can't do anything wrong!

by Topaz30 on 11/11/13Marquis Theatre - New York

This was my 4th Il Divo Concert. I have been following them since 2005. They are amazing, talented and very easy on the eyes! They seem to have developed a nice friendship since they first appeared together. They are each unique in their own way. Whenever they come to NYC, we always try to attend their concerts. I'm hoping for another new CD from them after their release of the musicals which I will not purchase since some of the songs are duplicates from previous CD's. Thank you Simon Cowell for your instincts in forming this wonderful group!
