Hot in every way!!
by ShadowTink on 9/23/15Las Vegas Village - Las VegasThe performers were awesome, the stage area and sound system was amazing and the village was a lot of fun. Suggest explaining the wrist band scanning/incentive thing to first timers in the future as 5 of the 7 hours went by before we found out about the game. It was very hot and although there were water stations and some shade areas these were all located too far from the viewing area in front of the stage. It was impossible to get water to drink unless one gave up their place in front of the stage and no-one is going to do that while waiting for Demi or their other favorites to come on. When entering the Village any bottled water carried that was not the brand of the water company signed as one of the sponsors was not allowed in and even for their brand only one bottle was permitted. It was 102º!! Lastly, with 15 performers everyone is standing in the hot sun for hours and it is really brutal to make everyone wait 30 minutes for the Headliners to come on when they take their turns. It did not really build excitement, but rather just tested everyones' endurance and a fair number of people had to have medical help from too much heat.
