ICE NINE KILLS IN CONCERT:
Metalcore quintet Ice Nine Kills offers fans a gripping and visceral concert experience that combines heavy rhythms, fiery riffs, and catchy hooks. Singer Spencer Charnas vacillates between guttural screams and soaring melodies as he encourages fans to sing along. The rhythm section doles out beat after pummeling beat of non-stop aggressive fury while guitarist Justin deBlieck delivers face-melting riffs and solos. With song titles like “The Coffin Is Moving” and “Let’s Bury the Hatchet… In Your Skull”, the band reliably delivers a hardcore experience that pulls no punches. Ice Nine Kills is sure to bring their mayhem to the masses in 2015 as their IX Lives Tour hits select North American cities.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
The original incarnation of Ice Nine Kills formed in Boston, MA in 2006 and released their independent debut Last Chance to Make Amends that same year. When several original members quit the lineup, lead singer Spencer Charnas recruited musicians from the recently disbanded post-hardcore group Remember Tomorrow. The new roster got right to work, quickly blostering their growing fan base with a successful run on the 2009 Vans Warped Tour. The group released Safe Is Just a Shadow in 2010 and continued to amass new fans with their fresh, provocative sound. They then earned an opening spot on the 2012 All Stars Tour alongside bands like Suicide Silence, The World Alive, and Dance Gavin Dance. Ice Nine Kill's third album The Predator Becomes the Prey was released in 2014, claiming the top spot on the iTunes Metal Albums chart for the entire first week of its release.
One of the best live shows I’ve ever been to! The sound was awesome and theatrically they did a great job. Would definitely recommend seeing them.
I’m a huge horror fan as is but I’ve been following these guys prior to silver scream. Fantastic show and stage performance is top notch. If you get the chance to see them DO IT!!!
Thank You Octane, for bringing us an Epic Tour! Really missed Make Them Suffer, son's Favorite band.
Amazing show! Ice Nine always puts on a great show!
This was one of the best shows i ever saw in a all time, ice nine kills kill it!!!!
I have seen Ice Nine Kills perform once and they were excellent. I have met the band as well, and they are really great people. Their performance was good enough to be one of the top five that I had ever seen performed live!
Most organized venue I’ve ever been to plus the show was amazing!!!! All the bands killed it!
Ice Nine Kills put on an amazing show. It was definitely everything you expect from experiencing the Silver Scream live. But even though everything about this tour (March Into Madness) screams INK is headlining, it is a co-headliner and they are taking turns being last so be there on time. We missed 3 songs because of this.
The show was awesome! Most of the opening bands were pretty good. The main band was amazing, I just wish the singer didn’t just have the crowd sing for him for an entire song like I wanted to hear him sing it. Although the crowd was pretty rough that’s to be expected at this kind of a show. Ice nine kills is super talented and I loved being able to see them at such a small venue!
The experience was awesome. The meet & greet was great & not rushed. The band members are always super nice & friendly. I liked that after the meet & greet, they didn't make us go back outside like some shows do. The acoustic set was a nice touch as well. Love Sylar!!! (Coming back to see them in November!). Discovered a new band: Out Came The Wolves. Thanks for another great show!
This was my first heavy rock/metal concert and first time at the Masquerade and it was all awesome!!! The opening acts were great and I continue to follow More to Monroe and Come and Rest. Ice Nine Kills was perfect. They sounded just as good live as they do through my headphones. I enjoyed how close they were and I was able to get great footage and even touch the lead singer!!! Their merch guy Chad is the best and some of the members stayed to meet their fans. I will definitely be waiting for them the next time they come to Georgia!!
I loved Get Scared! Ice Nine Kills was the main band but I didn't go for them, although they weren't bad. Nicholas Matthews of Get Scared is such a nice guy. Very down to earth. The venue, "The Champ", was a little hole in the wall but very nice. Although, I wish they had air conditioning because it got HOT!
We had a blast at the show. Loved the bands and the venue was decent.
The Ice Nine Kills show I went to was in a great, relatively spacious venue and only around thirty people came. This band is so underrated that that was a bit sad for a turnout, but they rocked the show just the same. I wish they would have played longer though, since they played the shortest set for a headliner that I have ever seen. The number of people being small was cool though because the people who came were largely legitimate fans who sang along and we all had a good time. The band cared about us and we got to stand on the box by the stage. They also were happy to talk after the show. The other bands before Ice Nine Kills were also great and underrated.
