MC Lyte, EMPD, Big Daddy Kane, Scarface, Rakim & Ice Cube performed the best concert ever. They rocked the mic from beginning to end and showed mad love for Detroit. Detroit vs. Everybody

  • Hip Hop at it's best.

by MelloMD on 5/26/15Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

The show was amazing. All of the acts attended and gave their best efforts. I traveled from Philadelphia to Detroit for the show. The crowd was hype. The venue was nice. I even ran into former NBA player Tim Hardaway before the show started. MC Lyte opened the show, so if you were late, you missed her. EPMD next, then Big Daddy Kane. Scarface followed, and Rakim after that. The headliner was Ice Cube. He opened with the previews from the upcoming NWA movie, can't wait to see it. His set was hype. He performed all of his hits. If you love hip hop, go check out these shows that feature your favorites. You never know how long these types of opportunities will be available.

  • Bring Tha Noise Concert

by MicMcNutt on 5/26/15Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

All I can say is..... Off The Chain!!! I absolutely love my old school music! Although Ice Cube is my all time favorite, the complete lineup was excellent.

  • Ice Cube was awesome!

by Timeco on 5/26/15Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 4 out of 5

The show started off with in my opinion the baddest female rapper ever MC Lyte who is my fav and she was great. All of the performances were awesome...I loved all of the legends...EPMD, Bid Daddy Kane, Rakim was lacking a bit but still he is a phenomenal lyricist... Scarface was awesome....Thanks for the pic outside Greektown Hotel..just a down to earth dude...dressed in all Detroit gear..."good shout out to the "D". Now Ice Cube with Dub C tore it up....Cube showed how to perform at a concert and was super live from start to finish.... Overall "GREAT" concert... My crew and I had a ball!!!!!!!!!!

  • Legendary Night

    by BK47 on 5/26/15Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Every performer was solid on the Mic. Scarface was exceptional, Rakim was great and really played to the crowd. Big Daddy Kane hasn't lost a step, he even had scoob and scrap on stage and they put on a dancing clinic. MCLyte was ok and EPMD gave a surprise performance. Ice cube with WC was fantastic. He had a projection screen behind him with a tv below it playing his movies and music videos. His show started with a preview of his upcoming NWA movie. Must see concert!

  • Bring Tha Noise

by streetcred on 5/26/15Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 4 out of 5

Overall the concert was decent. Thank God for Cube! As usually his performance was great. Also Big Daddy Kane performance was awesome. I was a little disappointed in Rakim performance. He didn’t do much rapping…he would say a few verses and then point the mic to the audience to finish the verse! Case in point the audience did Paid in Full; Rakim just simply pointing the mic toward the audience during the entire song! I was so disappointed in Rakim performance.

  • ICE CUBE, EPMD, RAHKIM, AND MCLYTE WAS EXCELLENT!!

    by MELLIMEL82 on 5/26/15Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

LOVED EVERYTHING. THIS IS FOR SURE A CONCERT FOR OLDER--60'S/70'S CROWD. I AM A 1980'S BABY AND I PROBABLY KNEW 20% OF THE SONGS. FELLAS WILL LOVE THIS CONCERT FOR SURE. THE COMEDIAN WAS FUNNY!!

    by Lynn8053 on 1/23/14Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

The show was great. The performers were excellent. I purchased tickets as a surprise birthday present for my husband and he loved it I couldn't think of a better present we really enjoyed the show I couldn't even say which artist I like the most they all were great.

  • All star hip hop was very disappointing .

    by Bklyn47 on 1/22/14Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic CityRating: 1 out of 5

I thought this event was suppose to be old school .Their were more new artist performing than old school . The event was so unorganized the first performance was old school they sang every other artist songs when they sang their only song I remembered they made it wasn't good .every artist that performed it was like they had a intermission after each artist .this concert was over four hours long , we had floor seats that were so uncomfortable every one was jammed up on each other you couldn't even move .When dougie performed he spent the least time on the stage it was crazy very disappointing. Ice cube was the last performance it wasn't even fair to him every one was leaving we were so tired and uncomfortable we just wanted to leave it dragged and dragged horrible .I hope if they plan on doing another one if it's old school stick to old school and more organization.

by MsCherrymoon on 1/22/14Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

It was an honor to see EU, Fat Joe, Eve, DJ Kool, Doug E Fresh, Lil Vicious (a nice surprise) and of course Ice Cube!!! I had a ball!!! Lady B and Charlie Mac were wonderful hosts and the concert was so much fun. Each artist put on an outstanding show and had the whole place partying and enjoying themselves. The after party was also wonderful! We partied until 4am!!!! The DJ's were outstanding.
