Iam Tongi concert was amazing. He has an excellent stage presence. He introduced all the band members and back up singers and each had their moment on the stage. Tongi is very talented and has a wonderful voice for his young age. Megan Danielle was the opening act and she was very talented with a beautiful voice. It was a great concert.
It was more than we expected. He along with his guest performers did a wonderful job. He was honest about his voice not being how he would have liked, but continued to sing. The audience didn't mind it at all. He is a true entertainer. His love for his music and the audience showed in everything he sang as evidenced by the audience participation. Can't wait till he returns home again to sing more of his original songs!! Much mahalos Iam!!
Super fun experience with Iam and friends. Felt like we were in an extended (and larger) garage jam session with Iam and his friends. Loved the relaxed vibe and his fluid set choices. When Iam pulled out his phone to Google song lyrics, the whole crowd got let in on what it could be like to be in a garage rehearsal. Yess Sirr.
The concert wasn’t entertaining at all. He tried to get the crowd involved but kinda difficult to do when you’re sitting down the entire concert. I thought it would be more lively but it was dead.
The concert was awesome. Loved that Iam Tongi came to his roots and performed a concert. It was so refreshing to see a young man sing with passion and heart. Megan was awesome - she is so precious and I love that her and Iam are did this concert together. Hope we can have more of these kind of concerts.
Iam’s voice is beautiful! He is so talented. I can’t wait to see him perform live again.
Iam Tongi has an amazing voice and wonderful stage presence. The audience was appreciative of his performance and the support he received from his band and backup singers. Not surprisingly, it wasn’t a polished performance. It was like watching a jam session. It was fun to be there and witness one of his early concerts, though. Other things that could have been better: A) Whoever was mixing had the bass way out of whack - it was distorted and annoying throughout most of the performance. B) Megan, his warm-up singer, also has a strong voice, but it not even close to the caliber of Iam’s voice. It was easy to see why he won Idol. C) With the exception of his back-up singers, who were amazing, the rest of the band was just okay. I hope he finds the support he needs to push himself to even higher levels of performance! D) His duets with Kolohe Kai, especially Cool Down, were amazing!
Iam was a terrific showman and comfortable on stage. Very good at connecting with the audience and performing with his fellow performers. Glad we were able to attend the concert!
I adore Iam Tongi’s voice, but it was ruined by a key board that was too loud and the rhythm section of the keyboard. Some of the other instruments were too loud as well. His voice is incredible and should be featured, not overpowered.
Ticketmaster had emailed me on a special 25% discount to be offered starting 12/1/23 on any Iam tickets (his concert was on 12/9/23). As I was enamored in Iam Tongi's emotional & heartfelt singing performances on American Idol, I figured on a whim to attend his Hawaii concert. As all of my immediate family were either vacationing in Disneyland or working in Virginia, I thought why not and attend Iam's Live Concert. Ticketmaster had me seated up Front just the 3rd row from the stage! on an Aisle seat for room, and located directly in the middle column of seats on the Arena main floor (with the 25% disc. ticket was only $95.00).
