About

With the 2014 formation of I'm With Her, singer/songwriters Sarah Jarosz, Aoife O'Donovan, and Sara Watkins introduced an essential new force into the world of folk music: a close-knit alliance of highly esteemed musicians, each graced with a deep understanding of folk tradition and unbridled passion for expanding its possibilities. Since delivering their critically lauded debut See You Around and standalone singles like "Call My Name" (winner of the 2020 Grammy for Best American Roots Song), the trio have routinely taken time out from their individual careers to dream up songs together--eventually arriving at a new album exploring themes of ancestry, lineage, and the collective human experience. On their long-awaited sophomore LP Wild and Clear and Blue, I'm With Her now bring their luminous harmonies to a soul-searching body of work about reaching into the past, navigating a chaotic present, and bravely moving forward into the unknown.

In a departure from the stripped-back intimacy of See You Around--a 2018 release that turned up on best-of-the-year lists from the likes of the New York Times--Wild and Clear and Blue centers on a far more elaborate sound informed by the trio's intensified sense of musical kinship. All multi-Grammy-winners with deep roots in the folk scene, Watkins, Jarosz, and O'Donovan first discovered their near-telepathic chemistry during an impromptu performance at the 2014 Telluride Bluegrass Festival, then co-founded I'm With Her and began touring extensively and performing at acclaimed festivals across the globe.

Produced by Josh Kaufman--a member of Bonny Light Horseman and multi-instrumentalist/songwriter/arranger/producer who's worked with Bob Weir and The National--Wild and Clear and Blue ultimately adds a bold new urgency to their delicate entangling of lived-in narrative, fable-like storytelling, and nuanced reflection on cycles of life.

Opener Jon Muq was excellent. Sarah, Sara and Aoife individually are all amazing artists, put them together and you have some real magic. Loved the show.

  • THE Super group of our time!

by AT on 10/14/25The Egyptian Theatre - BoiseRating: 5 out of 5

I'm With Her knocked it out of the park! Each of these musicians is a multi-talented star in their own right. Put them together and it is nothing short of MAGIC. Every song, every melody, every pluck of a string was perfection. And some of the best harmonies in the business. Thank you so much for coming to Boise! It was a fantastic show.

  • Best Concert of the Year

by Stuck in the 60’s on 10/14/25The Egyptian Theatre - BoiseRating: 5 out of 5

These women played and sang from their souls. The music and vocals were outstanding. Such a lovely experience. The songs were so pleasing to my ears. They are each such individual talents. However, together they exceed every expectation. It was so nice to hear some new music that sounded good! Clear sound and respectful audience.

  • I’m with her-amazing!! Wonderful!!

by Lsw on 10/11/25Moore Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Fab concert with one of my fav band members together and individually! Encore with Brandi was topping on the cake too! One complaint. The lighting program was intense. Those of us in the balcony especially got hit when the bright lights came on as part of the sequence. Took away from what was otherwise a perfect show!

by AndyTheOrange on 6/10/25Michigan Theater - Ann ArborRating: 5 out of 5

I've been an I'm With Her fan from nearly the beginning, and this is the first time I've seen them in concert. They were absolutely phenomenal! The blend of their three voices is magical - add onto that melodies that stick in your head and lyrics that speak to your heart. You couldn't ask for much more! Everyone should see these talented women live and in-person, they bring their full selves, their full hearts, and their amazing talents to the stage and do not disappoint.

  • Best female trio since Dolly, Linda, and Emmylou!!!!

    by Scotty52 on 6/10/25Michigan Theater - Ann ArborRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen each of the members of this astounding group separately on several occasions, mostly at the ARK in Ann Arbor, but I've now seen them as a group for Times. Harbor needs are over the top. They musicianship is unmatched. Three absolutely delightful and mega talent, young women who just bring joy with every song. cannot get enough of them.

  • Three Amazing Talents!

by willbonline on 6/10/25Michigan Theater - Ann ArborRating: 5 out of 5

When the three of them walked out on stage by themselves, I thought, no band? No percussion?! It is no easy task to keep tempo and rhythm without a bass player and drummer. They didn't need it! Such talented musicians. Acoustic guitar, steel guitar, Spanish guitar, mandolin, banjo, violin, fiddle, viola. These ladies came to play, and indeed they did. The harmonies were impeccable.

If you enjoy folk/folk-tinged popular music/Americana you will love I'm With Her. When they return to the Triangle area, don't miss them, either as a group, individually, or with other groupings (they all often perform with Chris Thile)
