  • Bag Restrictions

by Kay on 12/22/21Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 4 out of 5

If the venue implemented a size requirement for bags, purses and backpacks that information should’ve been included within the ticket email. In addition the Prudential center venue itself should’ve had signage to advise of the purse and bag restrictions before we walked in. Doesn’t make any sense to walk back to my parked car, remove my important belongings just to walk back in!

  • Legacy Classic

by Adiylah on 12/21/21Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

The Legacy Classic was fantastic! I enjoyed the game, the bands, the slam dunk contest, and the celebrity cameos.

    by CARL J on 12/21/21Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 4 out of 5

THIS WAS A GREAT EVENT. IT WAS UNFORTUNATE COVID CAUSED SOME MINOR CHANGES, BUT IT WENT OFF WITH NO GLITCHES. I AND MY CLUB MEMBERS WENT AND IT WAS FIRST EVENT WE WERE ABLE TO GET TOGETHER IN 2 YEARS, SO IT WAS EXTRA SPECIAL. MY ONLY SUGGETION IS TO HAVE VENDORS SELLING HBCU, GREEK & AFROCENTRIC ITEMS. LOOKING FORWARD TO MORE EVENTS REPRESENTING US.

  • by Catmansmom on 3/10/14Burr Gymnasium - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

It was fantastic. The energy of the crowd was high, the band was excellent and the game was an exciting nailbiter! Afterwards, the band performed outside, and alumni band members "stepped" with them. It was just wonderful!

  • Howard University Basketball vs. Oregon State

by BeavsFan on 11/29/10Burr Gymnasium - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

The gym is smaller than many, which means that everyone is very close to the game and that made it fun. The Howard fans were friendly and showed good sportsmanship and the game was entertaining. Be ready for some very loud pregame music on the loudspeakers. Parking is difficult in that part of town but we found a spot on the street not too far away - take a roll of quarters for the meter, because the rates are very high. We bought reserved seat tickets (for an extra $5 apiece) and assumed that we would be able to sit in those seats. When we got to the arena we were informed by the people already sitting in our seats that it was all general admission. Howard University should either stop pretending to sell reserved seats, or have ushers on hand that can make sure that those who purchase reserved seats can actually sit in the seats they bought.
