About House of Blues Gospel Brunch

House of Blues Gospel Brunch Live

A high-spirited event that has become a treasured tradition in Las Vegas and nationwide, the House of Blues Gospel Brunch offers the best kind of nourishment for bodies and souls every Sunday. Visitors can enjoy traditional and contemporary songs by local gospel performers and national touring groups while digging into the House of Blues' signature all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet of Southern-inspired favorites.

This tradition of combining soul-stirring performances and great food began over two decades ago at the original House of Blues location in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The Gospel Brunch soon became a well-loved staple in Las Vegas when the House of Blues opened its seventh location with a 600-seat restaurant and 1,800-capacity music hall at the Mandalay Bay Resort Casino in 1999.

Along with the iconic fried chicken and waffles, the Gospel Brunch menu regularly features such items as prime rib, cornbread, grits, jambalaya and a style-your-own omelette station. Even more exciting than what's on your plate is what's onstage. A 90-minute nondenominational musical celebration, the House of Blues Gospel Brunch is an exuberant experience that the whole family can experience.

House of Blues Gospel Brunch Background

A Sunday morning celebration like no other, the House of Blues Gospel Brunch has been a world-famous tradition for over two decades. It's easy to see why it's such a treasured part of the history of the House of Blues, which grew out of founder Isaac Tigrett's dream to introduce the world to the music, art and food of the rural south. Tigrett opened the House of Blues' first location in a converted, historic house in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1992. The Gospel Brunch soon became part of the House of Blues' reliable menu of great food and entertainment.

In 1999, the Gospel Brunch tradition came to Las Vegas when House of Blues opened a 600-seat restaurant and 1,800-capacity music hall in Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Featuring a unique combination of all-you-can-eat buffet with Southern-inspired favorites and a family-friendly, nondenominational 90-minute show of contemporary and traditional songs performed by local gospel talents and national touring acts, the House of Blues Gospel Brunch became a favorite of visitors and locals.

In 2013, the House of Blues enlisted gospel superstar Kirk Franklin to reimagine the Gospel Brunch — with spectacular results. The House of Blues Gospel Brunch continues to be an unforgettable way to celebrate the day.

    Best day ever

by Best day ever on 12/20/23House of Blues San Diego - San Diego

I had no expectations for this event, but my mind was blown! The venue was wonderful, and the performance was hands down one of the best gospel groups I've seen. I plan to attend every gospel brunch in the future!

Not worth the time or money!

by Chuck on 12/14/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

The food was cold and the entertainment was old and tired. Not worth the effort. Never again!

Not worth the money if you're vegetarian

by Tj on 12/13/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

The buffet is VERY meat heavy- you won’t get your moneys worth if you don’t eat meat. Also the time I went got hijacked by one of the performer’s birthdays.

Not up to our previous visits

by Mr. J on 12/13/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

The program was not as good as others that we have attended. Too much time on personal things by the performers and their music and not enough of popular songs that we could sing along with. The food was a disappointment in both quality and selection (no fried chicken, really?). The deserts were awful and very limited. We'll go to others but probably not go to the Las Vegas location again.

    An experience

by Weekend in Vegas on 12/13/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

We went to the Gospel Brunch at the House of Blues and yes we had a good time. The food was plentiful and good. The host was interactive with audience and the soulful songs kept us entertained. The background singers were just as talented as the lead singer Ms Patti 😊 We definitely had a good time

Loved the music. Hated the food.

by Dami on 12/13/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

The Gospel performance was beautiful. I loved the testimony the singer gave. They sang songs I hadn’t heard since I was a child. Made me smile and cry. The food was so so. Most of it was hard, soggy and cold. With little to no flavor. Also the seats were so tight I had to send friends who were smaller to grab me a drink. Very hard to call it a buffet when you can’t freely walk to food and drink easily.

    Nice Experience

by LabTech on 12/4/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

This was my first time attending a Gospel Brunch. The show was AWESOME! However, the seating was extremely tight and the food, though tasty, was lukewarm.

    Enjoyed it

    by Bob on 7/19/23

The food was good but nothing special. Because it’s a funky layout for a brunch (kinda spread all over), a few of us missed the biscuits and gravy (my go to). The gospel music was a blast. Choir sounded awesome. Woke us up and sent us home to LA with a little spiritual boost.

Gospel Brunch - A Must See

by Cletus from Columbus on 6/29/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

The Gospel Brunch was amazing. The Emcee Sharon Smith was fantastic. She's a natural entertainer. Pat Pennington is a great singer. Background singers and band were also on point.

Ran out of food and drink

by GTW on 6/24/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Long and slow line up to get in. Waited almost one hour. By the time we got seated the show had already started, there was very little food left and zero for juices. They only put out one pitcher of cranberry and orange juice. I asked for more food and drink and was told that is all they made.

    Not impressed

by Mitch on 6/23/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

I was very disappointed in the show. The show was to start at 10 am but the doors only opened at 10 am. We stood in line for 35 minutes before they opened the doors. The venue was very cold. By the time you sat down with your brunch it was after 10:30 and everything was cold. I have heard Gospel choirs before and really enjoyed them. In this show they spend over half an hour preaching before the singing begins. I could not understand a lot of the words in the songs and it was too high pitched for my ears. It was not what I was expecting at all and left early because my friend and I were freezing and not enjoying the show.

    One and done

by Star Finch on 6/21/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

I was very excited about this show and chose it for our father's day event and we left disappointed. There was too much talking and not enough singing. Less than 10 songs over the entire hour....closer to 6 or 7. Lots of repetitive talking from the MC as well as too much time spent having audience members "dance" for anniversary, bday, etc.... We did not pay to watch audience members participate, we wanted to hear good gospel singing and more singing than talking. Go see Soul of Motown ... less $$ and an awesome experience with non stop music.
