Alternative hip-hop artist Hoodie Allen crossed over from underground to mainstream attention with his 2012 All American EP, which debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes chart as well as the Billboard top ten. The rapper and singer was born Steven Markowitz in New York City and grew up in a Jewish household in Plainview, Long Island, writing lyrics as a kid and rapping at friends' parties in high school, where he adopted his moniker from the childhood nickname Hoodie. While attending the University of Pennsylvania, he released 2008’s Making Waves mixtape and 2009’s Bagels and Beats EP and Pep Rally mixtape, which sampled Death Cab for Cutie, Flight Facilities, and Two Door Cinema Club, and generated internet buzz for its track "You Are Not A Robot", sampling Marina & The Diamonds. Hoodie has also wowed audiences on tour with the likes of Chiddy Bang, Das Racist, and RJD2, as well as headlining a concert trek across the United States. With pop-rap style in the vein of Asher Roth and Sam Adams, his multi-speed and witty lyrics coupled with his vibrant beats are sure to entertain ticket holders. His newest mixtape Crew Cuts featured contributions from Chance the Rapper, Chiddy Bang and Shwayze, and his 2013 fall tour took him through cities in Europe and the U.S.
It was an overall amazing experience. The VIP was worth it. He’s such a high energy genuine dude! Got to get caked and see him ride a boat but the music he played was every single song I know. You have to see Hoodie! He’s truly something special.
I love Hoodie! He is such an amazing performer and knows how to put in a damn good show!

Hoodie knows how to put on one hell of a show. Super chill down to earth guy that genuinely loves his fans and it shows through his performance. He picked a smaller venue where he was a lot closer to the crowd and the energy he brought was off the charts playing classics such as Cake Boy (yes he threw a cake), Movie, and No Interruption right alongside his two newest songs Wouldn’t That Be Nice and Call Me Never as well as an unreleased song as of the time of writing this post.

This is the first time I have been in Webster Hall since it has been renovated and it was great. As for Hoodie Allen, he puts on a great show! It's his hometown and he brought all of his energy. I've been a fan for a while, but this is the first time I've seen Hoodie in person. He is dedicated to his fans and know so many on a personal level that most artists would never care to. On top of being an amazing performer, it was made extra clear that he is a humble and personable dude.
This was my first concert in NYC and I was a little nervous, but wow. The venues security and staff was so friendly and organized. The venue itself was big and open and just had an awesome atmosphere. The sound was clear and that made the show even more amazing. I’ve been a huge fan of Hoodie for a long time now and I know he always puts on a great show for his fans. I think when the venue and it’s staff also care for the people that are coming, it makes it that much more enjoyable. I loved every minute of the show and I would see any artist at that venue again. Hoodie Mob for life.
This tour was with Hoodie Allen and Jake Miller both of which I’m huge fans of. Regardless, all I can say is they know how to put on a DAMN good show. There wasn’t a second I wasn’t having a great time, would definitely recommend going to a show!!!
So again jake Miller was the best thing about this tour. Hoodie was late which pushed everything back a whole hour and a half. So unprofessional. I went for Jake but hoodie couldn’t do his Q&A and if I was a hoodie fan and didn’t get it I’d be mad. Moral of it all : Jake miller is king and hoodie is not
Great show ! Hoodie Allen & Jake Miller were fantastic. Lots of energy and fun! I only wish it was a little longer of a show. The House of Blues was pretty nice but, the bar should have opened as soon as people were allowed in. Also, the venue closed the section the concert was in and everyone had to leave as soon as the concert ended. It would have been nice to be able to hang out a little after the show.
My girlfriend and I have been to dozens of concerts together. Even our first date was to a Simple Plan concert at the Vic 8 years ago almost to the day. That being said we’ve never had an experience like this. You could tell Hoodie pours his heart and soul into making his concerts an unforgettable experience for his fans. On top of that, this album (Whatever USA) is the best album I’ve heard in a long time. It’s short but every song is a banger. I can’t stop thinking about how fun this day was. Buy the super vip tickets as well! Hoodie is such a nice humble guy when you meet him and can tell he really loves his fans like a true artist should.
I had an amazing time at his concert. From the VIP experience to the actual concert it self. Jake Miller was a fantastic opener, and Hoodie never disappoints with a fun and interactive concert for his beloved fans. Definitely one of the best concerts I've attended!!!!!

Hoodie Allen's concert at House of Blues was amazing. Jake Miller opened and had the whole crowd dancing and jumping with him; he even got out into the crowd and performed from the middle of the venue. His talent is unbelievable and his excitement and energy were contagious on-stage. Hoodie Allen's set was also such a fun time! He played a mix of new music from Whatever USA and really nostalgic bangers. The whole crowd seemed to know the words to all of his songs and really fed off his energy. He crowd-surfed in a raft (and hurt his elbow), jump-roped with a bunch of bras, and threw cake at fans. Cannot recommend this concert experience enough, I had such an awesome time!!
If you ever get the opportunity to see Hoodie Allen you better hop on that because I’m not exaggerating when I say he puts on a show that you will never forget. In addition to putting on the best show ever he also has the nicest fans ever. I’ve met so many amazing people because of him.

Everything about this experience was more than I had anticipated. I was a VIP member and everyone I met was extremely kind and friendly and made sure this experience was as personal as possible. When it came to the actual show, Hoodie and Jake know how to keep things real and hyped up to a whole other level. I will 10/10 invest in another concert with these talented and insane guys. It was worth every penny. The venue itself was clean and not stuffy at all. It was laid back, clean, and the concession stand had the best cookies. Oh, and Hoodie's cake was delicious.
The event was awesome! The venue was awesome! However, parking around the area could have been a bit easier. Very complicated. Added a bit of stress that we were not expecting at all. Not to much help. Clearly, however, I had a blast. Was everything I was hoping for. Looking forward to next year! Seeya then!
Hoodie was absolutely amazing. He has the best fan love and I am so glad to finally see a concert after being a fan for almost a decade. Can not wait to see him again.
