The glitz of Sin City meets the razzle-dazzle of Broadway in HONEYMOON IN VEGAS, an uproarious new musical with a book by Andrew Bergman, music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown, and direction by Garry Griffin.
HONEYMOON IN VEGAS tells the story of Jack Singer (Rob McClure), a regular guy with an extraordinary fear of marriage, who finally gets up the nerve to ask his girlfriend Betsy (Brynn O’Malley) to marry him. But when they head to Las Vegas to get hitched, smooth talking gambler Tommy Korman (Tony Danza), looking for a second chance at love, falls head over heels for Betsy. Bet the house on this insanely funny new musical full of skydiving Elvises, sexy chorus girls, red-hot romance… and really cold feet.
I would highly recommend this play. Great music, dancing and the special effects were wonderful. A really great time.
Clever lyrics, great music, super stars..... What a great show
What a terrific show! The singing was excellent. Tony Danza was wonderful. This show makes you laugh!! You leave the show happy!!
This was a fun show! Tony Danza is great - you'll really enjoy his character and the band was fantastic.
This show has it all. The music is fabulous and the performances are marvelous. Tony Danza brings his charm to the role of the gangster. Rob McClure and Brynn O'Malley are perfect as the young couple and the supporting cast of The Mother, the Island seductress and the Elvis' are all wonderful. The songs are extremely clever and fun and they bring a contemporary feel to Sinatra era music. I loved it!
A truly enjoyable, well-written musical. The music was outstanding! Tony Danza was fabulous.
Fun show, Rob McClure and Tony Danza were great. Very fun show.
Nothing particularly educational, thought-provoking, cutting edge, or even mind-blowing about Honeymoon in Vegas. It's just a perfectly well written and excellently produced old fashioned sort of musical.
Went into it with no expectations and came out really happy with the hours spent there. It was a lot of fun, great length, great use of stage space, and the cast did wonderful.
I thoroughly enjoyed this show. Rob McClure is a great talent and his involvement in this show was definitely a draw for me. Loved Tony Danza as well and enjoyed the depth of his character -- something I had not planned on!
Best show on Broadway right now!! Hysterical!! Tony is great! Rob McClure is a star!!
Enjoyed the entire show. So very comical but yet had a good story line. Excellent stage props and costumes. Loved the big band music.
A fun American musical experience. Great sets and an amazing orchestra
This was a fantastic funny show!! Everyone in it was great!! A lot of laughs. Go see it!!
The show was so funny ,the music was great!! the play itself was great!!. Tony Danza was AMAZING!!! loved everything about the show. Go and see it for a fun night!!
I saw "Honeymoon in Vegas" Saturday night in NYC. Based on the 1992 film, it is a truly funny silly delightful adventurous farce with wonderful music, decent singing/dancing, effective sets and costumes and frankly just a whole lot of fun! Tony Danza was surprisingly good as the can't-help-but-love villain (so to speak) and Rob McClure as the hapless Jack and Brynn O'Malley has his object of affection teamed well together to hold together this out-of-control storyline. The finale, including skydiving Elvis impersonators brought down the house! Highly recommended for a get-away from daily trials and tribulations.(**** out of 5)
The acting and singing was awesome. Tony Danza was Great!!! Maybe thats not fair, cause The whole cast was great too.
The show was very entertaining and had lots of laughs. The cast did a very good job and got a great response from the audience. Middle aged and older folks seemed to enjoy the show very much.
Good play, entertaining. Not happy with the theater. Very cramped.
Fabulous costumes. Tony Danza's suits were beautifully made. He was perfect for the part. The Flying Elvises were such fun. Rob McClure is Tony worthy. You will laugh and enjoy yourself.
