Had a wonderful time at Paul Simon Tribute. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience honoring the iconic singer-songwriter.
I was not sure what to expect, but I was blow away by the range of performers. A special experience.
The Paul Simon Show was a great evening with a fine seletion of artists (of varying genres) paying tribute. It was a treat seeing Crescent City legends Trombone Shorty and ESPECIALLY Irma Thomas on the bill, with the latter showing she is still the undisputed Queen of New Orleans R&B. The one disappointing thing on this night however, (and unfortunately at this stage in life) is the "troubled water" apparently still flowing between Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel. It was a shame that for one wonderful night of tribute that they couldn't put differences aside and sing a song or two together. That would of turned this show into a five star evening. That being said, it was a wonderful and fitting tribute to a man who shaped so many of our childhoods into incredible musical memories. Thanks Paul.
Great music! Excellent artists! Paul Simon’s music will live on!
This was one of those experiences where you already knew it was gonna be good. But then when you get there things just keep getting better and better and better. The list of performers and gas spot celebrities were sensational. Musically Garth brooks Trisha Yearwood Eric Church the Jonas brothers. Sheila E, gas performances via satellite from Bonnie Raitt and Sting. And then Oprah Winfrey introducing Paul Simon at the very end with Paul performing three songs on his own. I was in music overload. This was my first time seeing Stevie Wonder perform live and that was worth the price of admission. Could not have enjoyed myself anymore.
As a huge Paul Simon fan I figured I would take a shot and see how a tribute might go. My daughter and I absolutely loved the show. One surprise star after another in a relaxed atmosphere made the night special. Seeing Paul sing Graceland at the end made the night…
From all of the special guests (Garth Brooks, Tricia Yearwood, Stevie Wonder, Susannah Hoffs, Dave Matthews, Brad Paisley, the Jonas Brothers, Take 6, and so many more) and the fantastic venue to the last set with Paul Simon, the night was incredible! One I’ll remember forever!
I wish I hadn’t purchased tickets to this show. I paid over $160 per ticket to sit in the back where they were escorting “seat fillers” during the entire show. In the middle of the show, they had all the seat fillers waiting right by our seats getting prepared for Brad Paisley to walk down the aisle where our seats were. I will never go to a concert again that is being filmed. Extremely disruptive and chaotic for the whole show.
Awesome tribute by star performers to a true legend.
Great venue, great scheduled event and many surprises that made it that much better! 11 out of 10!!
Inspiring, memorable, epic... I feel lucky that I got to experience this irl.
This show was unbelievable! Love love love! Paul Simon is a living legend and all those who came to celebrate him were incredible as well.
