The home run derby was great. The intermission entertainment was fun. The fireworks were not as good as last year. The music chosen this year was a little too dated for the general age of the crowd.
This is a wonderful event for everyone of every age. It was such fun to watch the young men showing their home run skills. The fireworks afterwards were fantastic and a wonderful family event.
Great time! Very entertaining. Will go again. I hope food vendors can keep product stocked next year.
The Ameritrade Park is huge and so nice. My family had a great time watching and rooting for the batters during the Home Run Derby. Ambiance is so great. We Love laying in the grass on the fields during the fireworks. Being surrounded by so many people, enjoying the patriotic music all while viewing some spectacular fireworks is overwhelming for me. I just love it! We will be back next year!
The fireworks after the game were great. Really surprised me. Next year we will look into getting seats in the outfield down the 3rd base line.
The College Home Run Derby and Fireworks was a great time. I enjoyed the home run competition just as much as the fireworks and will go again next year.
Really boring.......could have had more audience participation.......even the fireworks were boring........same patterns and duration.............
My husband and I had a great time. It was a relaxed environment and the fireworks were amazing.
My wife and I are not huge baseball fans however the Derby was fun and the fire works after words was amazing worth the cost, next year will know to get tickets early and not wait till the end of June to get tickets!
I really enjoyed myself and so did my family. The fireworks were the best I have seen in years. Metro Community College had discounts for the event so I must say thank you to MCC too!
What a great event. Well organized with lots of staff around for directions. The fireworks were terrific. It's was my first home run derby and hope to go back often.
We have gone to this event since the new stadium opened. The fireworks are always great. The Home Run Derby is OK. A real baseball game would be better but it is fun when one the kids gets on a role and hits one home run after another. This year the fireworks were moved to a parking lot further away from the stadium and this caused some of them to be obscured behind the stadium wall. The Fireworks need to be moved back closer to the stadium. Overall a really good time with the family.
We have gone to the homerun derby and fireworks for many years. The HRD was good but it drags out a little. Would rather see a real game. KC vs ? would be great! The fireworks were OK but not nearly as good as other years. Need a lot more loud banging. People really like the continuous loud explosions! The rest of the fireworks were just about like the displays in small towns. With this type of venue, people should really walk away feeling like WOW! That was really great! You didn't get this feeling this year. Bring back Grucci Fireworks! Still had a good time though!
The home run derby was done so much better this year! Much more focused on family friendly entertainment. We will definitely attend again next year.
