Great show! Fun fun fun Christmas event.

by clickster77 on 12/7/16Jennie T Anderson Theatre - Cobb County GA - Marietta

This review is for the Home for the Holidays show at the Jennie T Anderson Theatre (Cobb Civic Center) Most of the reviews on here seem to be for other shows by the same name all over the country. Hopefully Ticketmaster can correct that. When I first went to see this show I was not sure what to expect exactly. Now we go every year! This is a really fun, well done variety show of all sorts of entertainment, music and dance. From amazing vocals of classic Christmas music to the comedic touches, it's all a lot of fun. The show features national professional talent as well as a lot of performers from the Cobb county performing arts high school, all well blended into a mix of high energy and nostalgic performances. Price is a great value at only $20 per ticket and makes for a great family holiday tradition. Highly recommended!

    Never again

    by Billp8 on 12/24/14Anderson Theatre - Marietta

My wife and I and sometimes other friends have seen "Home For The Holidays" for several years and always loved the show and left Jenny T. Anderson with a Christmas glow that lasted for several days. However this year the show was bad, bad, bad. The theme of the show was nowhere to be seen for the first time. The performers were poor especially the young lady who yelled at the audience several times. No singing just yelling. There was no joy in the performance or the audience. And after the theater manager warned the audience no picture taking, etc. there were two women sitting front of me brazenly taping and taking pictures and nothing was done. Horrible experience.

    Average show -not as expected

by dIYer on 12/22/13Effingham Performance Center - Effingham

First of all, the publicity for the show makes you think there will be several vocalists, and a choir. At Effingham, IL there were 3 female and 3 male vocalists, no choir. The big band arrangements were pretty jazzy and didn't convey the same holiday feel as the traditional songs. Show was okay, but didn't leave ME with that special Christmas feeling.

Gets you in the spirit of Christmas

by Anonymous on 12/18/12Anderson Theatre - Marietta

I totally enjoyed the talent and bringing college kids into the production. I didn't totally go for the earlier kids songs but the more serious songs of the season. Very well done.

    Home for the Holidays

by HamLaker on 12/15/10Pantages Theatre - Minneapolis

The music was great, but the sound system was not very good. Instruments sometimes drownded out the vocalist. Would prefer to hear the artist talk in person for a few minutes rather than on tape.

Home for the Holidays: A MN Christmas was great!

by Musikmama on 12/15/10Pantages Theatre - Minneapolis

What a great show and for great causes in the Twin Cities! A joy to see all the talent that surrounds us right here in Minnesota . . . we are truly a blessed community. The tickets were fairly priced and was glad to know all proceeds went to the charities.

Stand-up comedy with a glimpse of an Italian-Jewish upbringing, the act is very funny. Despite being one of the youngest members in the crowd (avg. age was probably 60, with many people well into their 70s laughing their butts off) I was surprised at the jokes that caught all age groups.

One of the funniest routines I've seen.

    by jimo234 on 11/21/10CityStage - Springfield

My wife and I attended the show and expected more of a "play" than a stand-up comedy routine. However we were pleasantly surprized when it was over. We both thought the show was hilarious. It was a shame it was over so quickly. I think everyone could identify with the situations Solomon described and he did it without using "4-letter" words.

We have been attending every year and it is outstanding as usual but it would be nice if there was a new story line in the future,

A nice evening with local musicians

by margotprenye on 12/11/09Pantages Theatre - Minneapolis

I loved all the musicians last night!! Such a diverse, awesome group. Enjoyed every song, and really liked the video before each group came out, highlighting all their favorite holidays memories, both reverent and irreverent!! Cate Fierro has one of the most beautiful voices I've heard in a long time, clear, resonant, and effortless. She can really belt out a tune, great range. Loved the irreverence and the voice quality of the Wild colonial Bhoys. Ari Herstand really entertained the crowd with his charming, boyish smile, and his stories of Jewish families during christmas. Loved Roster McCabes' rendition of Sleigh Ride and Winter Wonderland, wished they would have added their usual harmonious blend to the tunes. This was worth every penny of admission, just wished I would have brought more friends and family.

    Home For The holiday's

by Anonymous on 12/11/09Pantages Theatre - Minneapolis

I was very disappointed. I ordered tickets after going into Katie Mc Mahon's website. I went to the performance expecting to see a show with Katie McMahon - there were only 2 songs done by Katie and then the rest of the performers I had never heard of except Patti Peterson.

    by mjb89 on 12/11/09Pantages Theatre - Minneapolis

Last night's concert was awesome! I really enjoyed all of the artists, all of the genres, all of the music! I hope these artists do the same thing next year!
