    Fantastic!

by Hayesmen on 12/13/14Beacon Theatre - New York

This was by far the best radio station sponsored multi-talent concert event I have ever attended. The acoustics were amazing. The artists are truly talented and gave great sets. I would recommend and attend again & again!

Awesome but could use minor improvement

by FrankyGSlice on 12/13/14Beacon Theatre - New York

This show was awesome. I had never heard of American Authors and they just blew me away. Echosmith was ok but hey, you can't like everybody. Davin McGraw, who my wife really loves, was awesome as well. He seems like a very personable guy and is a great talent. Although I've heard of Daughtry, I've never really paid too much attention to their music. Since they decided to do an unplugged session, for me, the jury is still out on them. He has an excellent voice, I'll give him that. Now for Train, I started to really listen to them a little longer than a year ago. I couldn't stop listening, purchased some of their CD's. These guys are really good. I am a bit disappointed they couldn't play longer (Reason for 4 stars and not 5). They had to stop at 12:00am. Possibly the next time, maybe start the show a little earlier. I don't know if you can do that but when the main band only plays for 30 - 40 minutes, that's not a good thing. But all in all, it was a pleasurable experience and I've come away with a new band I like to listen to, American Authors.

    Great show

by luuk86 on 12/13/14Beacon Theatre - New York

We really had a good time with 5 awesome bands on stage. The kickoff with the American Authors was a great start of the show. Echosmith wasn't really our taste. They clearly need some more time on stage. Gavin Degraw was very good. The entire crowd seemed to like it. Daughtry was ok. Train was superb. They closed the show in the best way possible. The only downside was the sometimes long wait between acts.

    Not enough of the headliner

by Jill519 on 12/13/14Beacon Theatre - New York

One too many acts... Should have started earlier like they did in Wallingford so the headliner train could play more than 1/2 Hour. We were very disappointed with this show but thank God we went to see train Friday night in CT because they were able to play for an hour even with 5 Acts... Keep in mind next year ... Stay on time and make sure headliner plays for at least an hour and doesn't come on at 1130 not cool !!!

Gavin DeGraw and Train stole the show

by Anonymous on 12/13/14Beacon Theatre - New York

Concert was great but needed Train to play longer, Time got away from the event and they had to finish by 12am. I would have liked to hear 1 or two more songs. Gavin DeGraw was amazing as well. He really knows how to rock it out. Watching a concert at the Beacon Theater was great. I wish more bands would play there. It has a very intimate setting and there is NOT a bad seat in the house.

Great show - too long (went too late)

by Scubacaar on 12/13/14Beacon Theatre - New York

It was a great line up but really went on too late. It should have at least 1 less act or started an hour earlier. That would have made it a great night so people could enjoy the last act, Train.

    Hegg Brothers worth every penny!

by ToParadise on 1/7/11Fitzgerald Theater - St Paul

I have been a fan of the Hegg Brothers and their many fine collaborators for more than a decade. I genuinely love everything they and their cohorts have done (even the misses are hits), and they are one of the few artists on the planet about which I can say that. Yet, they live and work in relative obscurity in Sioux Falls, SD. It's hard not to admire the humility of their ambition ... and impossible not to admire their talent. I was so happy to see they were bringing this holiday show to the Twin Cities, where I live. Musically, it managed to be sophisticated and super-hip while maintaining a reverence to the holiday genre. Jeremy Hegg's intelligent and humorous leadership, while restrained, still managed to add personality not usually found at such shows. In those senses, the Holiday Jam was as enjoyable as any other holiday show I've seen here, or moreso. The Heggs may not care to be known beyond the cool little world they inhabit, but the rest of the world ought to care. Maybe this holiday show, of all things, will finally create the demand that draws them out and prompts them to share with a wider audience. I, for one, hope so.
