Very entertaining and engaging. A great way to learn about early American history.

  • Good storytelling and music

History was brought to life with strong story telling and moving music. The violinist Mateja Kalajian was a standout. Brava!

  • Loved it!

Brought my adult son as a birthday gift. All of us thoroughly enjoyed the show and Prof. Jackson’s humorous, entertaining and informative presentation.

  • Enjoyed what we could hear

by Traveling Palate on 10/14/24Liberty Hall - LawrenceRating: 4 out of 5

Good content well produced but the sound board could be significantly improved. Professor was difficult to hear when he made side comments as he bent over and more particularly was drowned out by music. People laughed at his bent over side comments so we wanted to hear them. Also, we were on the main floor so sound should have reached us.

  • Highly Entertaining and Informative

by Nate on 4/24/24New Jersey Performing Arts Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

Professor Jackson is an incredibly talented performer. His unique way of teaching history through entertaining stories is an amazing way to learn about American history. His musical skills are very impressive too, and integrate well into the performance. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to learn about American history without being bombarded by another person's opinions. The Professor does an excellent job of giving the facts, making you understand where different people are coming from, and letting the audience members each form their own opinions. This is certainly not anything like history class in school.

  • Engaging, entertaining and informative

Dr. Jackson is even better in person than on the podcast. While I knew much of the history, he brought new perspectives to the story of our first 100 years. Bravo! When’s the next one?

The information presented was interesting. Unfortunately it was very difficult to hear and understand the speaker at this venue.
