Great venue and easy to see and hear. Music was so enjoyable, excellent musicians.
If you were a fan in the past, you will love this show! Age has not stopped him from putting on a wonderful show complete with incredible memories from the past. Love the love story he and Lani share. He is an amazing artist!
Unique fun night: each perfectionist performer was fascinating to watch and listen to. Loved the story telling, videos and music. Also loved watching true love.
One of the best shows my husband and I have ever enjoyed. Especially liked the tribute to Karen Carpenter and hearing some of the Brazil '66 tunes. So many songs Herb Alpert could have played, but those he did were well-chosen. His version of "Puttin' on the Ritz"was pure joy!
This was the most enjoyable evening! Lots of conversations and memories with plenty of pictures on the large screen to go with the timing of the music he was playing through his career. Loved it!!!
We totally enjoyed this show. Herb Alpert is a legend that can still entertain with the best of them! We'd see Herb and Lani again and again! 5 stars for sure!
He and Lanni were remarkably good and in the context that he’s 88, fantastic! Great venue, no bad seats or acoustics. They pour a great drink, too. Have been there a few times and will return. Maybe a few too many war stories over actual music but I probably got to give the guy a break.
Herb and Lani are a class act! The venue needs better parking and more handicapped spaces.
They are still so in love! World class musicians. The videos were great fun to add to the wonderful show. Hard to believe that he’s 90
My advice is to go see Herb and Lani now! He is 88 and cannot keep doing this forever, but you do want to experience his show.
I had a lovely time. Herb played some old favorites, some new music, told some anecdotes, and joked with the crowd in an ongoing conversation. Lani sang, we all sang, we saw some great videos and artwork and Herb's signature sound is still a celebration. If you love him, you need to go!
Fantastic evening of memories and stories and music. The show was a fun musical jaunt through times past and up to modern day. Loved it!
Great night at the Sandler Center with Herb Albert and Lanni Hall. Music was amazing from start to finish, the entire band was amazing. Chance to hear some old favorites and enjoy some incredibly talented musicians. It was a great performance and highly motivating to see Herb looking and sounding so great at the young, young age of, I think he said, 63..or so! Highly recommend this show!
Not only was the music great but listening to the stories Herb told about other musicians and himself was priceless. Thank you Herb Better than ever!,
This was a wonderful night of music and laughter. It was like sitting around the living room with old friends. Lani’s voice was musical magic! Herb Alpert played medley after medley of his favorite songs, often with many pauses for applause from the audience. Herb and Lani answered questions and music requests from the audience. It was a wonderful display of musical talent from two consummate professionals!
Mr Alpert is a fine musician and one of the most popular of performers. I enjoyed his concert. Exciting memories and clear expectations often are not met when the music is presented differently. I missed the excitement and “goose bump” thrill of his unique sound.
Herb alpert and Lani Hall are a unique pair, a couple of 50 years, who are making music since the 1960s. The concert is as much a sharing of their story as a musical ride through time. The keyboard, bass/guitar and percussionist are top notch performers in their field, and Herb, at 89, still plays that trumpet! It's a concert for those who have known Herb and those who would enjoy being with a group who know how to do music well. On a side note, ticketmaster has real problems with electronic tickets. The bar code has a copy proof scan that the venue's readers couldn't handle. I highly suggest if you can bring your tickets on paper you'd be in a much less frustrated line of people trying to get in.
This is the first time I have been to the Sandler Center for the Arts. What a fantastic venue! I just loved the way Herb's concert was part videos, part interacting with the crowd, and lots of good music. He seemed to be enjoying himself as much as the crowd was. I had a great seat and a great time.
The Sandler Center is a very nice venue, and Herb and his entourage were awesome. I will certainly visit again.
never played one full song. talked constantly asking the audience for questions.. this is supposed to be a music event not a commentary. maybe he should not tour..
