About

In describing Henry Rollins, the tendency is to try to squeeze as many labels as possible into a single sentence. "Rollins is many things," says The Washington Post, "diatribist, confessor, provocateur, humorist, even motivational speaker...his is an enthusiastic and engaging chatter." Entertainment Weekly's list includes "Punk Rock icon. Spoken word poet. Actor. Author. DJ. Is there anything this guy can't do?" TV Guide has more concisely called him a "Renaissance Man" but if Henry Rollins could be reduced to a single word, that word would undoubtedly be "workaholic." When he's not traveling, Rollins prefers a to keep a relentless schedule full of work, with gigs as an actor, author, DJ, voice-over artist and TV show host to name a few of the roles that keep his schedule full. Rollins has toured the world as a spoken word artist, as frontman for both Rollins Band and Black Flag and as a solitary traveler with insatiable curiosity, favoring road-less-traveled locales in places such as Nepal, Sri Lanka, Siberia, North Korea, South Sudan and Iran.

    AWESOME AS USUAL

by Scooter on 10/12/22Palace of Fine Arts - San Francisco

Henry Rollins never fails to disappoint. He gets better with age! I love his storytelling ability and rants. I've seen him live 11 times and this venue at The Palace of Fine Arts was great! Roomy seating and easy in and out.

    Amazingly awesome

by Mombie0514 on 10/3/22The Observatory North Park - San Diego

It was so many things- hilarious, heartfelt, inspirational and truly just what I needed. Henry Rollins is amazingly well read, and so insightful in a totally bizarre way that makes being in the room with him an incredible experience.

    Henry is PERFECT as usual

by Tiff on 9/28/22Templelive Fort Smith - Fort Smith

Henry storms onto the stage, talks for more than 2 hours, then disappears back whence he came. There are no notes, there are no sips of water, just 2 hours of social commentary and suggestions for how we can do better. I seriously considered driving to his next show the following night because it's just an experience that you cannot get enough of.

    25 Years Later: An Encore

by JnJ on 9/27/22Templelive Fort Smith - Fort Smith

Seeing Henry Rollins in Fort Smith in 2022 was not my idea. My wife saw him 25 years ago and wanted to show me the majesty I had been missing all these years. 10 minutes into the show, she was ready to leave. It's not that Rollins is boring or the show was bad. It's that we sometimes move past the ideas of our youth. My wife did. I'm not sure Rollins did, because I didn't see him as a younger man 25 years ago when my wife did. In the end, I'm glad I saw for myself what my wife described for 21 years as "Undescribable." Would I see it again? No, I wouldn't.

Henry can share stories like none other. Great stories and a very good message. Can’t wait to see him again!

    Spectacular as always

by Anonone on 9/23/22Whitaker Center - Harrisburg

I’ve seen Henry here before. He is a brilliant raconteur. Think of life as a salad. You just have lettuce until you throw lots of other things in the bowl. Seek out your salad bar!

No matter how long he talks, it’s never enough.

by Nicole on 9/20/22Bardavon 1869 Opera House - Poughkeepsie

The way he shares anecdotes is a beautiful blend of humor, history, intensity, warmth, anxiety, boldness (despite what he says about not being bold), exuberance, richness of life. I haven’t laughed that loud and that long in a long time.

    AMAZING

    by R. D. on 9/20/22Bardavon 1869 Opera House - Poughkeepsie

Henry Rollins is intelligent, sexy, and down to earth. I had the pleasure of seeing him in Poughkeepsie New York and we had front row seats and we actually got to meet him it was simply amazing. I definitely will be going to see Henry Rollins again.

One of the Best Dudes on the Planet!

by AKM on 6/7/22Théâtre Corona - Montreal

Loved how he just came out & started the show - no need for an intro! Really engaging storytelling, although I wished he had disclosed his feelings a bit more about finding a way forward after a pandemic like the one we just had. The promo art for the show had his wearing a medical stethoscope, so yeah was kinda expecting it, and I also think us Canadians could have handled it just fine.

Too noisy in the audience, really uncomfortable seats.

by Dominique on 6/7/22Théâtre Corona - Montreal

I didn’t really like the show. Rollins comes across as a nice person and his life seems to have been hectic. Good for him! But it seems like he’s trying to condense 60+ years of anecdotes into less than 2 hours while telling them in detail. I was breathless by the end of the show… He doesn’t try to connect with the audience and I think that’s a shame, both for him and for us.

    Amazing, loved it.

Henry spent an extra 45 minutes with us VIP's after the event. Very enjoyable.

    A top-level raconteur

by Hildebryn on 5/30/22Bella Concert Hall - Mount Royal University - Calgary

The venue was great with comfy seating, great acoustics, and excellent lines of sight fro each seat. But the best part of the show was, of course, Henry. His stories are engaging and he tells them like you are sitting together for a cup of coffee. The pacing is good even though the storytelling is frenetic. He keeps pulling you into his world and you root for him.

Henry’s show was amazing! His staff was all polite and great! We brought our 9 year old to the show and did the VIP so we could all meet him and take pictures, he was so great with her which only made the experience so much greater! Thank you so much for an unforgettable time!

    Henry is phenomenal

by KimS-L on 5/16/22The Egyptian Theatre - Boise

The Egyptian is a lovely venue and really allows Henry to shine. Henry, as always, was a machine- 2.5 hours without a pause or even a drink of water. His show was polished, funny, and topical. This is the third time I have seen one of his spoken word and it was worth every penny.

    Amazing as always

by BoiseMamaDoc on 5/15/22The Egyptian Theatre - Boise

Henry Rollins is a master story-teller, weaving together performance art, political commentary, humor, humanity and sass. I could listen to him for hours and know that when I see him, he’ll outstrip all expectations of time and space. Wow.
