About

In 2006, Hellogoodbye released its debut album, Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs!, which rose to the No. 1 spot on the US Indie Charts, bringing a new spotlight to the indie industry as a whole. This would also lead to its success in the indie pop genre in the years to come. Hellogoodbye concert performances feature extremely high energy and audience interaction that makes ticket buyers more satisfied at the striking of the last chord. The band's down-to-earth music is mirrored in its cooperative style and enthusiastic performances, often featuring more than one opening band from other sectors of the independent music genre. Their dynamic four-man band makes the audience feel at home by using a very interactive approach to each tour performance. Hellogoodbye released their third studio album in 2013, entitled Everything is Debatable, following the end of their 2013 tour, "Did it Kill You?" which took them all over Europe, earning additional acclaim there.

The band was formed in 2001 by frontman Forrest Kline. They spent several years in independent venue shows before signing with Drive-Thru Records. in 2006 and releasing their first album. This would lead to the release of three studio albums, along with five singles, including “Here In Your Arms,” which would rise to platinum status in 2006, shortly after its release. The success of Hellogoodbye has led the band to touring with alternative rock group, Paramore, on their 2013 to 2014 "The Self-Titled Tour." Hellogoodbye’s features include fast-paced alternative powerpop and indie pop, which has earned them a niche following for nearly a decade, making them an indie pop staple.

by Ajr on 3/9/25Rating: 5 out of 5

I go to emo nite..so i see the lead singer often..usually goofy chill cool guys..n that remained during their set. The difference was i never expected such an incredible sound out of these guys..opening song wit the sax, slow and sad oh man what a banger. And he has this huge smile, really easy to connect wit the fans and has a great stage presence now.

  • Nostalgia Dance Party

    by A. P. on 5/2/19The Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was everything I had wanted it to be since middle school. The band was super interactive, the opener was cool, and Hellogoodbye absolutely killed it.

Great line up, good energy, the shows also started on time. Definitely a fun experience worth returning.

  • Hellogoodbye/ Vacationer-epic duo

by Anonymous on 4/23/14Brighton Music Hall - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

I only knew one song by Hellogoodbye and nothing by Vacationer before attending the concert, but it was fantastic. Both had a great stage presence, talked to the audience, and had visuals to go along with the music. Overall, great experience.

  • What only play for a 1/2 hour????

by ATLBosak on 12/15/11Masqurade - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

Atlanta GA. I love these guys. Glad they could come back and make a great new album. Not sure if I would go to another show. I showed up an hour late to miss the opening band. There were (4) opening bands. What? Finally 4 hours later Hellogoodbye comes on stage, says we are tired... and plays for a 1/2 hour. I paid money to see Hellogoodbye not (4) crappy opening bands for 3 hours... Love the music but will only buy the digital copy and not go to shows anymore.... Sad.

  • Gold Standard

    by Purpleblood182 on 2/1/11Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

All of the bands were pretty good. The music was good, but most lacked a stage presence. Almost Legendary was a nice surprise to open the show. Most performances were fine, but Gold Motel had far and away the best set. Great music, nice energy and the least awkward on stage.

  • Lame crowd, but good performances

    by JTrain05 on 2/1/11Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

While the crowd was pretty laid back (it was late on Sunday night, maybe that's a decent excuse), Hellogoodbye gave it their all with a great, high energy performance.
